The software seems to forget my login, even though I have checked the remember me option. As a result, I don't even know I'm a "guest" until I try to post a reply.

Every other site I'm on - including the one that I moderate and administer - never forgets me when I come back. This website is obviously not picking up the cookie that it left during my last logged in visit.

Ergo, until I re-logged in to post this reply, I was shown as a "guest". wub.gif

Dutch, the log on must be something they've done to the board recently, it's been happening to me for about the last month. Sometimes, even when I'm logged in I have to log in a second time to view pics.
I'm also not a big fan of the fact that we've lost the ability to edit posts after the fact and don't really see the point.
The whole log in thing might be what your seeing Mike, lots of times now I don't even bother unless I have something to contribute, so it just looks like another guest at the bottom of the page.

Sometimes when I clean the system of junk cookies I loose my log ons. Small price to pay for a clean system.

Look in your browser preferences at your saved passwords. There is a good chance that you accidently saved the default blank fields as your login. Now your browser has more than one username and password for this site and its using the wrong one. Just delete the useless one and you will be back in action. Ask me how I know. wink.gif
