It truly is weird, the local Sheriff issues the concealed carry permit and does their background checks, yet another state agency is the one that relies on the local LEO and the FBI to do background checks, and they are not a law enforcement agency, but they are the ones who issue the license...

Seems ass back-wards why the Sheriff wouldn't be the one to issue the AFL as a permit instead of a license, after all they are the first line of law enforcement in my area...
