Just curious. I had read that the direct deposits were going to start hitting accounts May 2nd. Does anyone have their Saiga procurement or improvement money yet? 012.gif 012.gif

I got mine. It's paying the insurance on my truck.

That's not much fun, but an evil necessity of life! I hate paying for insurance and water. The water bills here in NC are plain stupid and outrageous.

They had moved up the start date for the direct deposits but since the web site hasn't been updated since march, most people don't know this. I got mine direct deposited april 28th at midnight.

He showed me that VEPR today. Pretty nice. I would have bought it if I had known about it last week. However, I was at Jim's to pick up my Ver21 .308, so I just didn't think I needed the VERP, too. Jim reminded me that I don't "need" any of my rifles, and I could not argue with that logic, but at this time, I need ammo more than a third .308.

Saw that my direct deposit hit my acct today. Good thing too...that new Saiga .410 is already on the way. smile.gif

I checked the bank, no direct deposit for me. I think Mrs. Judge and I may make a bit too much money for the check. _amn!!!! Always just a day late and a dollar short. Or in this case, lots of dollars short without the check.

We got ours deposited this morning. The Mrs. is going to take the money out and I'll put it in the safe and act like it never came.

I haven't got mine yet. Was supposed to get it today. That's exactly what I expect from the government. sad.gif

Nope and I'm a 03 but already bought another S-12, I won't have anything left when it gets here. 012.gif 012.gif 012.gif

If you use turbo tax or similar it gets delayed. 022.gif
Racegal20
Ah, thanks AllJacks. I used TurboTax. I don't suppose you have any idea how long that delays it or why?
waltham_41
Looks like it will be a while before I get my check by the schedule above. Should have used it for gas or something, but I said to hell with it, borrowed money to work on my shotty. The rebate will go towards paying off that loan. Only live once wink.gif

I used TurboTax this year and last. Direct deposit both years. The stimulus check was direct deposited into the same account last night, as it was due by today per their webpage.

I use Turbotax/business. Deposited my refund (part II) last night, and my wife just bought a new camera about ten minutes ago for $970. Go figure. Nice camera, though (Canon Rebel XTI with a bunch of extra stuff).

Now if I could just convince the local school extortionists (err, board) that the huge fees stolen (err, taxed) from me per year that funds the local liberal indoctrination facility (err, school) do nothing for me in that since I do not have, nor have I ever had, children, that they should send a couple of kids over to mow my lawn every two weeks so at least I get some use out of the little bastards 011.gif

I feel your pain on the property taxes. When we lived in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, our property taxes went up every year and almost tripled in 10 years. The taxing authorities get back at you for the fact that there is no state income tax. The Professional tax is also a sneaky thing, too, in Texas. They levy a tax on all so called "professions" such as accountants, doctors, lawyers, etc. Yes, it is not much, but it is another tax.

The tax that I hate the most is the personal property tax. They levy a pretty stout one here in NC on cars. First, you paid taxes on the money earned to buy or lease the car, then you paid sales tax on the acquisition, then, to add insult to injury, they send you a nice bill every spring to tax you for having the car. Ugh!

I used Taxact, and I just found out that if you had the electronic filing fees deducted from your refund you will get a paper check instead of direct deposit. 009.gif No big deal for me, as I plan to pay my property taxes with it. Interesting to see how many people are using it to pay taxes. Looks like the Federal Government is stimulating alot of local Governments.

Wow. Well put, took the words right out of my mouth. But Alex, someone has to fund the "studio" where all of those great youtube videos of (teacher, unpopular kid, baby's mama) beatings are filmed.

That is interesting. We had the electronic filing fee deducted. No wonder I have not gotten a direct deposit for the stimulus check. Thanks for the information.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHh! A whole $201.75 between me and my wife! I paid 32k in taxes alone and got back crap coz my daughter joined the Navy and we couldn't claim her anymore. First time we calculated we were supposed to get back 800.00. Oh well, it'll be her gas money for three weeks.

I got a letter from the IRS today explaining the rebate and how I should expect mine by May 16th. My last two digits are between 52 and 63 which was originally slated for June 20 delivery.
WarriorJudge
We got the letter today, also. I was very pleasantly surprised that we are getting anything at all. In celebration, I offered to give half to the wife. She was happy with that for about two hours. Then, she asked for another $100.00 from my 1/2!!! LOL

If I had asked her for another $100.00 out of her 1/2, you guys would have heard her wail in protest across the country.

Sometimes you just can't win.

Heres the solution WJ. "I made my best offer of splitting the thing. Since my income is higher, I felt this was quite equitable. The offer on the table now is, I take it all and give you $100.00; as in period" 027.gif

This is a joke! Do not take this advice because divorce is much more expensive than giving her the whole thing. A little LEVITY is all.

Oh, I know you are far too wise to seriously tender such incendiary advice. I would be miles ahead to give her the whole amount. I am sure there is something that our house really "needs" but being a man, I'm just too stupid to yet know what that item is. She will take an opportunity, with the stimulus money, to enlighten me as to what we (she) needs to buy. I can assure you, she will not suggest another Saiga conversion.
