Ok, I hope I am not violating any forum rule. I am probably right on the edge, but if I cross the line, I know my good friends (monitors) will set me straight right away.

In previous posts Cobra noted a Vepr which is for sale and I responded about it. It is for sale by Jim, our gun shop owner. Jim is a one man shop and it is clear he is not an internet user. I was at his shop again this afternoon and the Vepr II .308 is still for sale. It looked it over more carefully today. It appears to be brand new. Jim agrees, he thinks it has not been fired. The chamber is spotless, so I think it is brand new. I think it is a Robinson Arms Vepr II. If you check their web site, they allegedly have a few left, but I don't know how old that information is. They list this rifle, or one which looks exactly like this one, for $1,000.00.

The only thing I can tell that distinguishes the Verp at Jim's from one from Robinson Arms is the fact that Jim does not have the original box for the rifle.

Now, I have NO financial interest in this. I am only posting this to help him sell it, and to give any of you who might be interested a heads up that this rifle is available. Jim will ship it to your FFL for $900.00. So, that is more than 10% off, when you factor in shipping and no tax, and all the buyer is apparently giving up is a box. Also, I do think that there is room for negotiation with regard to this price.

If you are interested, send me a pm and I'll give you Jim's telephone number. AGAIN, I have no financial interest in this. I would have bought this rifle if I had known about it about a week ago before I ordered my Saiga Ver21 .308. As I have an E-TAC .308 on order, I have no interest in a third .308.

Cobra 76 two
WJ I was also in there today and inspected the Vepr.
I sent you a PM.

It's an '01 model Vepr II with poly stock and one original mag. It's in excellent condition but it does look like it has at least been dry fired some, you can see it on the hammer face. Can't see any wear on the breech though.
The front sight is slightly canted to the left also. Other than that it looks really nice. Jim is a good man to do business with, I have known him for many years.

Jim just called me and we discussed the VEPR. He said that he would take $800.00 for it shipped to your FFL.
