OK, so I've seen people selling stuff in the "For Sale" section here, and other forums. Sometimes they say "shipping included", or $XX.XX plus $XX.XX for shipping. How does one know beforehand how much shipping will be on a given item? I'm looking to get rid of a few things, but have never shipped anything out

. So bear with me, and my stupid question

.

When I sell stuff on ebay, I weight it and then either go to the UPS site or USPS to figure shipping.
Or I go to my local shipping store and ask them.
I charge a shipping and handling fee to make sure all costs are covered.

USPS has flat rate boxes in many sizes. If you know the sizes of these boxes, you can stuff them with anything that will fit and ship it for the flat rate.
I've gotten some goddawful heavy flat rate boxes via the USPS ( full of Kalashnikov rivets, if you must know ). Cost around $7 for the size box that was used.
The largest flat rate boxes are big enough to fit a complete Kalashnikov kit into ( you know, parts ).

I had completely forgotten about those!

OK, cool, thanks for the info.
So with the flat rate boxes, the destination doesn't matter, being that it's a flat rate, I assume. I'll have to run to the UPS store and check out the sizes.
All I'd be shipping would be an Eotech, in the factory box, so size/weight shouldn't be an issue.

You'll need my address, PM me for it, and I'll pay shipping.
