“We’re not done yet. The NRA is going to see to it that every American has equal access to guns . . .
This monumental decision is just the opening salvo.”

- Wayne LaPierre, Executive Vice President, National Rifle Association

Dear Andrew,

The gun lobby wasted no time.

Just as we suspected, the National Rifle Association has filed its
first lawsuit using the Supreme Court’s new interpretation of the
Second Amendment to attack gun laws.

Within minutes of the decision, NRA Executive Vice President Wayne
LaPierre announced a challenge to gun laws in San Francisco and
Chicago.

The Brady Center needs your help now. We cannot let the gun lobby get even one step ahead of our efforts to defend gun laws.

Have no doubt, there will be more attacks on gun laws. As Mr.
LaPierre said, “this is the opening salvo.” The NRA is pushing more
guns, in more places, in the hands of more people. We disagree. We
should do all that we can to keep dangerous guns out of the hands of
dangerous people.

If you have not yet made a gift to the Brady Gun Law Defense Fund — or if you can make an additional gift — I urge you to do so today.

We have our work cut out for us, but I know we can beat the gun lobby in court. All nine Justices agreed
that most gun laws should be found constitutional — like laws banning
guns in schools, laws that regulate the sales of guns, and bans on
“dangerous and unusual” weapons.

We have common sense on our side. And, with the Brady Center’s legal
expertise and years of experience, we can and will help defend gun laws
that protect you, your family and your community.

Thank you for your support today.

Sincerely,Sarah Brady, Chair
P.S. The gun lobby won’t stop with San Francisco and Chicago. According
to one gun lobby spokesperson, the next targets could be New York and
Detroit. Please support the Brady Gun Law Defense Fund today.

Please support citizens rights instead of trying to trample them.

Citizens Supreme Court ruling confirmed rights.

why do some people just not get it?
If our founding forefathers decided we should have the right to a green yard and cut and grow kentuckey Fescue, then by golly If I want to do it I will!

They must not be reading all of the history and must be thinking about or relying on hyped up recent events ,...

People who go about sensationalizing the bull shit out of any little thing,.... well I'm gonna stop there.

IMHO,..

I also get their stuff. I don't remember signing up to get it but I do enjoy read what rhetoric they are preaching to their minions. You know what they say, keep your friends close and your enemies closer.

ETA: the fire avatar>current one.

Any time they send you a self addressed stamped envelope, be sure to use it to dispose of something heavy by taping the envelope to a box and mailing it. I did that when I was on their list. They get stuck paying return postage.

and in the same vein- the same wingnuts upset that Joe Horn got off scott free are the ones that want to have the castle law repealed. I suppose to make burgalry and home invasions easier for their remaining family members wink.gif

A long time ago, there was a post about a 2nd amendment poll online put out by the Brady Bunch. Just about every forum had a link so we could flood it with pro second hits.
Everyone who took the pool "Pro or not" gets their filthy rag sent to them....

I think it's funny IMO... they didn't even think anyone who participated in their poll may be PRO 2nd.....
GunnyR
I hit those polls too and I don't get their stuff...sniff, sniff.

Maybe they don't like me because I'd like nothing more than to see that entire group ass-raped by silverback gorillas?

I suggest sending them the gift they are asking for!

I'm thinking a turd in an envelope would be appropriate.

I think everybody agrees with 1. Then they say they have common sense. No you don't. The laws that the NRA are trying to overturn have nothing to do with letting "dangerous" people have guns. They are trying to get guns back into the hands of "people" that follow the law. The dangerous ones don't care about your feel good laws that help you sleep in a stupor, they already have guns and still will no matter what laws you pass. The best way that you could "protect me, my family and my community" is to fill up a bus with everone that thinks like you and go drive off a cliff.

They may think it's some sort of threat.

Of course you could include a note saying "i used all this ammunition as a law abiding citizen in order to keep dangerous bullets out of the hands of criminals. Every round I shoot is one less that the criminals can use against us"

I replied and sent them this:

This is about the stupidest idea you've had yet. If you are REALLY concerned with "do[ing] all that we can to keep dangerous guns out of the hands of dangerous people", then go after the courts that DON'T enforce laws to punish CRIMINALS using guns for evil purposes.

You simply don't get it do you?? It's not the GUNS that are the problem. It's the fact that the bad guys don't feel threatened by the consequences of using guns in their violent behavior. You Brady's that give equal weight to a law-abiding member of society and a CRIMINAL that does not CARE about the laws is poor representation at best and completely wrong.

I will never EVER support you or your group as long as you continue in your attempts to prevent me from being able to defend myself and my loved ones. Go get bent.

I would much rather that you join forces with the NRA to get rid of the CRIMINALS rather than taking guns away from EVERYBODY, including the good members of society, I like to include myself in that group. Start enforcing the laws that we already have and make them more conducive to preventing violence in the first place.

I suppose it still has not dawned on you that the places in this country that have the LOWEST incidences of gun-related crime are those that have fewer gun controls, and more lenient legal carry laws. Those places in the country that YOU rate the highest with the most strict gun control laws have the highest rates of violent crime, in particular with guns. Doesn't that bother you?????? Places like D.C., Chicago, LA, that have complete or near complete gun bans are the most dangerous places in the country to live. Doesn't that bother you???????

If it doesn't, then you are more stupid than I thought, and it really makes me less inclined to support you.

Good luck. I hate you.
