What does everyone plan on doing in celebration of this day? I'm going out and buyin ammo

We don't travel or go to any festivities. Too many jackasses around and we prefer to celebrate our own way. We'll walk 4 blocks to my parents house and have BBQ. Watch fire works from deck.

Not a damm thing. Sit on my ass in front of the puter and watch tv.

I've got a bunch of illegal fireworks (in VA, you can't have anything that leaves the ground) that I want to shoot off, but all my friends are out of town. :-( I'll prolly just go to the shooting range and shoot stuff, like spray paint cans, and telephone books, and water jugs. Maybe go to the town parade and do some field work for Vankiller's experiment.
I know, I'm a loser.

Just got back from the range. The maintenance planner from my complex met me and we burned a bunch of ammo. He left with a big grin and a huge bruise from blastin' a bunch of stuff, but mostly S12's. He'd never shot (or seen) one before, he was amazed at the reception they received at a range chock full of AR's, AK's and BMG's.
One range officer made a video of us shooting a duet, alternating shots so we weren't "rapid firing". He had to empty a couple of mag's as well.
I wish I could say we were dumping rounds from AGP mag's, but even after the "Gen II" Follower" mod it just ain't happening...Need more angle on the feed.

We agreed that burning ammo needs to be an Independence Day tradition. Oh, we had small flags w/ Play-Doh holding 'em up to our shooting benches.

Same here! I took a bunch of used up spray paint cans that still had gas in them, and one that was full, and a couple of milk jugs of water. I played with my AR for a few mags, but had to switch to the S-308 because it doesn't have enough punch. After the 308, anything smaller is just boring.
