Not until the end when I heard the Mass. part that I realized what that guy did wrong. Democrat police state. Shows you that the officers who swore to up hold the constitution, won't, if their politacal masters instruct. Another case of "Just Doing My Job." 011.gif Remember this when Obama is elected with a Democrat control congress. Those who own weapons, especially those popular on this site will be made out to be criminals and be made "Enemies Of The State." And if the guy resisted to fight for constitutional/free person. DEATH. And made out by government controled media as some nut.

I did not see a single weapon in that vid that would be illegal under most (sane) state's laws.
I guess I have been blessed to live in states that do not require a "license" to own a weapon or ammunition.

Police state is right!

But like Ruffian said, Democrat police state.
I see no difference here from what D.C. is trying to do.
We had all better start talking to our friends and acquaintances now if there is to be any chance of beating the democrat "elitist" candidate this fall!

Juggernaut
what type of "permit" did he need?

What exactly warranted the search ????

Big brother does not want to see any of their subjects armed with a significant number of weapons, even if they were all antique flintlocks. They perceive it as a threat to their hold on power. Its pretty obvious that they are not actually concerned with public safety, otherwise they would enable private citizens with the right to protect theirselves.

The old addage: A people should not be afraid of their goernment. Th government should be afraid of them!

I think some of them are!

Hahaha, $50 says he let his pistol permit lapse for one day (which means nothing, it's still legal to own all those without it). The illegal ammunition charge is almost definitely because he had over 10,000 rounds.

The weapons violations are either:
A, guns purchased before 1994, and not registered, and don't legally have to be registered, but cops don't know that until a DA tells them.
B, illegally loaded at the time of the siege, accidentally or otherwise.
C, they have a bayonet lug that hasn't been grinded off, or a threaded muzzle accessory that isn't welded and pinned.

Either way, I bet $10,000 he did nothing morally wrong. And guess what, if it isn't morally wrong, it shouldn't be illegal.

Add: The biggest gun show in my area is always in Massachusetts. The funny part about it is that all their guns are much cooler, I can't buy most of them (AK, AUG, SPAS-12, all those movie guns). They have weird restrictions on pistols though, and magazines. Whenever I want to touch a gun or a magazine, I'm asked to show ID that I'm not a Mass resident, then it's ok.
