In and around the Savannah (GA) area, there is really only one place to shoot recreationally and thats the DNR range near Richmond Hill - and that is a sad excuse for a range, but it's all we got. Too many yankees have bought up all the decent shooting and hunting land here to make up for their failed liberal lives in NY, MA, CT, DE, VT, OH, etc... and have complained about the noise and "public safety issues" to the point where there is simply no place to shoot...even the indoor ranges were shut down and/or banned. (looking, nay - leering, at you Bvamp).
It is, in fact, illegal to "discharge a firearm" in my county because some yankee (who managed to get elected to the County Commission) passed a local ordnance 15 years ago due to noise and "safety issues" brought by his NY constituients, living here in our once lovely habitat. Now all they do is bitch about the roads and lack of maid service...

Anyway - anyone else here?.?.? Love to co-miserate (There is an indoor "cop" range in Garden City, and there is a (very) small IDPA range here in Effingham Co. that the yankees don't know about yet...)

In all honesty, I feel your pain with the cidiots buying up everything, changing local codes, doing whatever they want, then changing it back, and YOU as a born local, or long timer (30+ years lets say), have to suffer THIER bullshit.
