more toy/drinking accessory than survival tool.....needs a couple screw drivers, and a small cutting edge....then we can call it a survival tool.

Definitly not the item to put the alcholics anonymous hot line number on and hand out at meetings......lol

RangerM9,

That's why I put "survival tool" in quotations! A joke, dude; I just loved the name.

Good thing it's got a place for your keyring - otherwise you might get so drunk you lost your car keys!

Interesting how a couple of you focused just on the alcholic beverage aspect of this toy! Sorta reminds me of anti-gun folks who see a picture of a firearm and all they can think of is how it can be used to destroy life!

Read the advertisement, guys, and sober up: Anodized aluminum body combines bottle opener, tab opener, keychain and carabiner style accessory clip functions all in one!

Not all bottles contain beer; not all tabs that need to be opened have beer inside. Lighten up.

If the guy had put bottles of soda water and cans of soda water in the ad, instead of Dos Equis, would you have responded the same way?
Kwicko
Relax; it's a joke. We're having some fun with it is all.

I'd (most likely) try and get shitfaced if I had it. 031.gif

And even though I have many weapons available to me I never had the urge to shoot anybody with them though, so I guess that separates me from the hypocritical anti-gunners. wink.gif

See, there's a big difference between thinking about doing something and actually doing it. rolleyes.gif

Now where did I put that bottle of Rebel Yell with the stupid plastic safety shield on it again? 016.gif

I cant really see any way shape or form how they can advertise that as a SURVIVAL tool. What are you surviving? your wife's broken finger nail? Not only that, but I somehow doubt it is made by the swiss.

Bvamp, for Pete's sake: IT'S A JOKE,! EVERYONE: IT'S A JOKE! YOU KNOW, "FUNNY HA, HA?" THE PRODUCT IS REAL, BUT THE GUY ADVERTISED IT AS A "SURVIVAL TOOL" AS A JOKE!!!!!!!!!!

scottysan
whatever u call it.... I could sure use one right about NOW! biggrin.gif

This product is an obvious attempt to parallel the LaRue "Dillo".

If the guy had REALLY wanted to cashi in on the current industry buzz words, he should have called it a Tactical Survival Tool and offered it in camo! I just got mine in the mail today, and I'm hanging my keys on it and using the clip feature to hang my keys somewhere where I can find them (at least half the time!). I wish he had put a TV remote control holder on it somewhere. I probably won't ever use the two "opener" features; my bottled drinks are twist-off caps, and I can pop the tab on the cans without too much difficulty.

Yeah, it may be, but I think he improved on a good design. The features of having the caribener clip and the key ring are pretty neat. Plus, the "survival tool" is $3.50; the Dillo "Beverage Entry Device" is $10 a pop.
