one by one each of my computers all running xp pro with IE7 fail to log me in. The login process goes fine but I am still shown as a guest. I have tried different account also. I have cleaned temp files and cookies to no avail.

Any suggestions?

I don't get it. You posted this signed into your name, obviously.

Either way, get FireFox, it's better than IE anyway.

I am on my wifes computer for this post. I use three other machines that lost login capability one at a time over a 6 week period. I expect the IE7 browser on this machine will eventually fail to allow login also. It seems to be just this site. I have tried other ISPs.

Make sure your system is allowing cookies.

Learstroker - If those machines have Google Accelerator it will not allow you to remain logged into this sight.

I do not have the google accelerator but I do have the google toolbar V4.0. Cookies are enabled. It has me baffled since the site shows me logged in in the "board statistics" at the bottm of the page however at the top of the main page it still says guest and I cannot view pictures.

I thank you all for the help. I wont give up on this.

i will agree that firefox is better than ie, but i run with ie b/c on a sub dsl/high speed connection fire fox is a slug compared to ie. on either satillite or cell phone, ot sure about dial up.

Did anyone come up with a fix for this problem?

I also am unable to login w/ IE7 on my home computer. I am only able to login with my work computer, IE6. It does the same thing, shows login, says welcome jrmy_1 and then goes to the main page and shows me as guest.

I just built a new computer so I have the latest updates. It must be a security update for IE7 that microsoft has put out. Looking for a fix but need someone with some computer skills. HELP!

Google toolbar is probably the reason..... I used IE6 IE7 IE8 without any problems.... (but I would strongly suggest to stay as far away as you can from IE8)

If you want we can establish a remote session and and try to look at it together, just like we did with 1911....
