Hey all........
All this week, I've been in a state of Internet deprivation, working waaaaaaaay down in southwest BFE Arkansas.......
Could get on the Forum, but the damned system at this little motel wouldn't allow me to post.....Frustrating.
Finally figured out it was IE that was the problem tonight, and set up Firefox.........
Keys on this damned old laptop are too sticky to work with........

I appreciate all the supportive comment from my friends, as well as the one STFU vote I did get !!!
I plan on making one last comprehensive post regarding this issue this weekend when I get back home, and will, at that point, ask for this thread to be closed. I think everyone has had enough...........
I think the outcome was sufficiently indicated. A greater percentage overall enjoyed the entertainment aspect of it, but it's obvious who our members here want to STFU. .........and even if he doesn't (or won't), I think he's for the most part done here........on a par with PistolPimp and others of his ilk...... 1911 said it best, with his stance.........

hey sticky, with your laptop off and unplugged with the battery out of it, flip the power switch on to drain the remaining power in it.

take a tootpick and trace around all the keys carefully

wet a papertowel or two with windex (not dripping wet) moisten the keys, and wipe the keyboard down. when its dry, if they still stick, you can try using a qtip to get the edges of the keys with windex, and wipe them clean.


DONT turn on or plug in the laptop till the next day, so that all the windex is completely evaporated.

the oils fromn your hands get on the keys, and dust sticks in the cracks. its a pain in the arse, but just has to be done from time to time.

cannot stress enough about no power and draining the residual charge before doing this


also, it doesnt hurt to shake it upside down while holding different groups of keys down to get hair and dirt out of it as well.

It's one of the old company laptops I picked up this last Monday for the project I'm working out of town..........
An older POS, but at least a contact to the outer world............, once I figured out what it would operate best in..........Took me days to figure out why I couldn't post..........Duh.........
