LETS MAKE SOME DARK MATTERIt may all be gone in a few milliseconds! I read about this damn thing a little over a year ago...it was fired up TODAY! Its a giant 17 mile particle accelerator! Well we are all still here so SOMETHING went right. Although it is far from full power...which may just be a major problem. SAY GOODBYE TO YOUR PRECIOUS EVERYTHINGS! Its supposed to be hitting full power sometime next year...HAHAHA! Most of us can only dream that things would come to an end this fast and easy!

yea they are doing monthes of testing before a full on collision, but why? there isn't a real point to this experiment and there isn't anything useful to come of it, why not find cures for human problems instead of risking the world for a experiment which all their safety guidelines are in theory b/c a test of this magnitude hasn't been done before...

It's a waste of brains, time, and money. And a threat to safety.

So scientists can play with something that may, or may not, destroy everything. But yet I can't own a full-auto without jumping through hoops, and dropping big money

. Pfffttttttt, ghey.

Of course the worlds leading scientist are just trying to get us all killed. Have you guys ever visited this site? You might like it. J/K

I wont argue with anyone about this, OR explain myself. BUT mark my words, this will lead to #1 time travel.
AND #2 wepons MUCH more powerful than nuclear weapons!!!
We REALLY need a tin hat emoticon.... ;P

This is being built to create a time warp to bring us back to 1952. The only way to save the world is to bring back the only man capable of leading us through the 21's century.

Dudes,
Check out this web cam they installed at CERNS
http://www.cyriak.co.uk/lhc/lhc-webcams.htmlForward,..
Check it out. They put up a webcam for the LHC.
“On 10 September scientists at CERN in Geneva, Switzerland will attempt for the first
time to circulate a beam in the Large Hadron Collider. The LHC is the world’s most
powerful particle accelerator, and will produce beams seven times more energetic, and
around 30 times more intense than any previous machine when it reaches design
Performance.”

Pussy's.
This could lead to great discoveries. This how man has reached the Americas, the depths of the oceans, the moon, and yes how we created atomic, then nuclear power. We could already destroy the Earth, why worry about this?
I'm more concerned about the Russians starting more shit in their former territories.

I guess none of you guys have ever had an MRI, huh?
Because MRIs are based on the magnetic resonance of hydrogen atoms in your body and they are only possible with our relatively recent understanding of sub-atomic particle interactions related to quantum mechanics. If scientists hadn't been doing atom-smashing experiments with particle accelerators then we would never have understood sub-atomic reactions well enough to develop advanced imaging modalities like MRI.
Don't buy into the fear mongering. These guys know
way way waaay more than any of us on this matter.
And FWIW, CERN is an international committee of scientists, its not just the French!

You know Juggs about that article you linked to, there are a few ppls that are throwing around a new theory that Human intuition might actually be YOU communicating on an unconscious level with all the OTHER YOU'S out there in the Multiverse. Supposedly they are all sharing their experiences with you, I.E. DONT do this, DO get this job, DONT drink that yellow liquid from your buddy, etc.
Really cool stuff if you think about it.

Yup! I only need to kill the other 27 "me's" in the multiverse until I'm the "One"......
No, wait...... never mind.... that wasn't real.... it was only a movie I saw.... Whew!
Thought I might have gone a little crazy there dealing with time paradoxes and whatnot.....
