I lucked up on a good solid compound bow of unknown make at a flea market for $3!! I pulled the old camo tape off and sprayed it down with black gloss spray paint I had sitting around. Has that "Punisher" look to it now. The string is in good shape but I am thinking of lubing the cams. What should I use? This is the first compound bow I have ever owned though I used to sell them and I have a recurve bow. Thanks for any tips given in advance!

Never use to low a spline arrow, like the ones designed from your recurve in it.

Never release the string without an arrow, ride it down by hand when doing a practice draw.

Call the company, they may have a kit available to refurbish your bow.

For lubing the cams I use a white grease, it comes in a white tube with a blue and yellow label, for the life of me I can't remember the brand name. I am sitting at work right now so I can't go look for it. The archery guru at the gun shop told me to use it.
