Does anyone know if the Saiga sling attachments use normal threading? I'd like to put a sling on my Saiga, but the default sling loops a little bit small to fit a normal-sized strap. So it's either replace the swivels, or buy new swivels, remove the loop from both, and then swap them out.

Thanks. Do you know of any swivels, in particular, that use these threads and I could substitute?

A swivel with a 10-32UNF thread would probably also work - that's very close to M5-.8 metric, and often interchanges.

Solution found: I ordered a set of 4 1 1/2" metal loops that I can cut and use to replace the existing loops on the Saiga. I also ordered a metal loop that's attached to a metal clip, to allow use of a normal sling on my PSL since the PSL sling uses a clip on one end to attach. This will let me adapt a standard loop sling attachment to the gun.

Here is my gun with its new front sling attachment:

I replaced the original 3/4" ring with a 1.5" loop that I cut to fit. Now I can use any sling I want with the gun.

Very nice. Where did you order the metal loops from?

Seattle Fabrics. Only place I managed to find that just sold loops like this.
