I think i felt a bit like Francis Scott Key last night, slept like crap, wondering if our flag would still be waving in the morning.
Sure was a great nation, we had our failures and our blunders, but the successes far outweighed them. A nation where a man could arm himself, not just with weapons but with knowledge and hope to improve his standard of living through hard work and determination. A nation whose "David" slew many "Goliaths" in the name of true liberty. Now it seems the head of the Beast of which liberals liberals make the body of, has come into power, mostly legally and by our own choosing (60% or so of us anyway). We who work hard will be socially and politically enslaved to the slick talking afro-Leninist who has promised to take our earnings and give the to those who support him. He promises to "bring everyone together", he has dangled carrots of unity, change, and a $1000 stimulus check taken from the (legitimate) oil companies, in front of the donkeys and the stupid donkeys walked forward. Think he'll go for space exploration over repairations? I doubt it. Or defence contracts over the same? Couldnt have happened to us at a worse time either. If the economy goes even more sour, there will be his impetus to begin "nationalizing" certain industries. The ensuing poverty will bolster crime, underfunded police departments will be unable to cope, citizens will band together to stop the crime, and contrarily, criminals will band together for their benefit. There will be his impetus for civil disarmament.
My only hope is that this really is the end and the TRUE King will be shortly coming.

Maybe Im just paranoid, but I really dont like this. If I become clinically depressed over Obama's presidency, does that qualify as a disability?

I think it was Dolly Hamilton who wondered in her diary if future generations would remember what it took them to establish this Republic, and maybe Ben Franklin who answered the question "What sort of a Country have you created for us?" after the Declaration was signed by saying " A Republic, if you can keep it."

Questions now answered after 230 years.

It ain't over yet. We're at the Jury Box now.....

To defend our county's liberty,
Make sure it remains strong...
Protect it from catastrophe,
Ensure that it goes on...

There's a simple way of doing that,
To ensure freedom for all...
Contained inside four boxes,
So that Liberty stands tall.

The first box is a small one,
But one each one of us knows...
It's called simply 'the soapbox',
Where ideas root and grow.

The next one is not used as much,
A shame upon our nation...
For it is called the ballot box,
Holds both dreams and elation.

The third one is the Jury Box,
Which filters right from wrong...
Democracy's way of making sure,
That Liberty goes on.

The fourth box is the saddest one,
It's used when all else fails...
For it is called the Ammo box,
And holds sadness and wails.

But if we use them properly,
Each one in listed turn...
Liberty will light the path,
That Democracy will earn.

Just think of yourself as a member of the loyal opposition. Obama and crew may think they have a mandate to remake America like a kitchen remodeling full of Scandinavian furniture and french coffee pots but it will not be as easy as picking and choosing stuff on Ebay. For the Democrats this election was the PERFECT storm with everything lining up in their favor. The perspective sitting at the desk in the Oval Office of the 'Executive Mansion' will hopefully look very different than flim flam talking out of both sides of their mouth depending on whose ear they have. Be active and be loud as you can even with the Democrats seemingly holding all the reins of power. Some wild horses still in the harness.

Did any of the Republicans in this debacle ever read 'The Contract with America'? Maybe now that they are firmly in the wilderness such quaint ideas might take heart again.

Here's what I read on another forum:

QUOTE
USA's Obituary:

Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on July 4th, 1776, the United States of America was an unlikely nation to survive. Facing great odds and eventually defeating the greatest military force of the time the young nation was united around a simple, yet amazing idea; Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. The fledgling nation survived 232 amazing years, and grew from 13 colonies along the east coast of North America, to 50 states that spread from sea to shining sea.
Although she became the most powerful nation in the world, the USA never forgot her ideals, or the brave men and women who died to defend those ideals. She fought bravely against many foes, both foreign and domestic and sadly slipped away under the leadership of Barrack Obama.
We love and miss her.

Sums it up pretty good.

So were outnumbered. We have been since the start. The freedoms we have enjoyed in this country's life time have always been fought against by evil. This is just another test. One we have to overcome for our children and ourselves. Oppression has always been trying to make it's way into our lives. Knocking at our doors. Well now it's in our living room. It wasn't easy to build this nation. This will perhaps be the greatest test to maintain it. How we do that other than the obvious hardships and loss that seem certain to come is lost to me. Seems we are running out of options. This battle of good and evil will never die. Each one needs the other in order to define itself. Not even the most powerful nation in the world with a tyrant at the wheel can squish that out. It will exist. There will be periodic moments in the sun through out all time. And there will also be darkness. This will continue long after all of this has become a twisted tale in the history books.

Freedom has always been hard to hold. To easy for people to excuse what is wrong with food in their bellies. 009.gif France, was prime example during WWII. Just a few held out until help arrived. Problem we face here, is that now one else will come to our aid. So, it will be long and hard. Could come down to what our nations founders faced. Less than a small percent took on tyrants. Our percentage and history is stronger. Just keep the faith. 000.gif

Well I admire the optimism, and thank the responses, but I just dont see us climbing out of this one without bloodshed. At least if there was a coup, it would be hard to fathom many soldiers taking the side of the Obamites. I'm also a pessimist so hopefully I'm way off. Even if McCain won, we would have only fended them off for another 4 years, so maybe getting this out of the way sooner is better. I joked today saying "wouldnt it be funny if in like 10 years we looked back at this and said Remember how we thought it was the end, and white people were gonna be enslaved and Obama was the Antichrist, but everything basically stayed the same!!!

My biggest hope is that Blacks wont complain about oppression anymore. naaaa.gif (yeah right) Can you imagine it "shit mans, aint no black people be succeedin in America" being spouted while a black man is president, this is gonna be rich.

One of the reason Republicans lost was that they forgot why we sent them to Washington in the first place. They completely pissed way the Contract with America instead of keeping their promise to clean house and they became part of the cesspool in Congress instead. Another reason was the rampant voter fraud and other DemocRAT dirty tricks like Ohio's DemocRAT Secretary of State disqualifying many absentee ballots which were mostly for McCain and some DemocRAT mobs voting more than once.

We lost a lot and will lose more rights under an Obama dictatorship and it will be exremely hard to get our freedom back but not impossible. It may not be in our lifetimes but evil can not last forever even under this Islamic Mehdi who is taking over the country.

Allah may be akhbar (great) but the G-d who created the heavens and earth is infinitely greater. If we have faith in our Creator we can win. The country's forefathers had faith in Him and defeated one of the most powerful empires of the day, the British empire. We can defeat this evil Islamo-socialist axis but it will be extremely hard. They have the money, the media as their propaganda machine and the government with its police forces and education but they like the Soviet Union can also collapse with G-d's help.
