I find it hard to believe the reaction around the world of our election is so emotional as being depicted, i can understand why countries like N. Korea and Russian and Iran are happy, b/c Obama is a spineless dem. with no experiance, but the pictures on the news of 3rd world countries performing vodoo rituals with large photo's of the canidates? really? these countries they show don't even have a mail service, most homes don't have computers or internet access, especially those areas that are using llama fetus' for rituals. I'm completely disturbed, and broke (from price hikes) and wondering if the world really cares that much, or am I just a retard?

My counterparts in Sweden were pleased to hear the outcome.. They said it was because the US had such a big part in the global economy and that Obama was the better economic choice.. Personally, I think they are just jealous of our lower taxes, gun ownership, quality healthcare and true freedom.

Hogodg is right the jealous third world countries want to see our living standards which we have earned go down the drain as the US becomes a third world hovel like their shithole countries. Maybe this is the reason their residents want to come to the US for opportunities which their countries don't have and will never have.

They are not all happy. China is concerned he will screw not just the American (what is left of it) but their economy too. We just had an election that finished about a week after the us one. The us one got almost as much coverage.
For good or bad what the us does affects most of the world.

the day after the elections i was at some shitty concert here in Belgium (paid by for work as a teambuilding event, oh well, at least we had free booze).

all the foreign artists (like the Simple Minds, Sinead O'Connor, LIVE,...) found it necessary to either dedicate a song to Obama, or tell us that they were happy with the outcome. ugh. i could've puked. now, i'd never have voted McCain myself, as most of you probably know (so don't get me wrong), but i utterly loathe when people feel it necessary to advertise at totally unrelated events.


probably has to do with most of the western world stealing those other countries blind and then buying themself peace of mind by throwing them some humanitarian aid.

my own country is a good example. we totally exploited the Belgian Congo, Rwanda, Burundi and so on. we bled them dry (sometimes even literally).

people tend to hold a grudge against others that "have" more than they do. it surely doesn't help either if the same people previously stole from you (in various ways, going from straight out theft of land and resources to economical slavery).

that's how the system works and how it'll continue to work, regardless of Obama or McCain.
