Hello all. Well I am very proud to say I just purchased a Saiga .308 22" barrell and love it. I shot it today and me and a good friend that was with me just fell in love with it. In fact it inspired him to buy one. Anyways just wanted to say I couldn't be happier and this site is awesome.

Welcome to the forum. I'm glad that you are enjoying the gun. Now do the pistol grip conversion.

Seriously, if you do want to convert your .308, check out Dinzagarms.com. In particular, look at his .308 conversion fire control group. It makes the conversion process especially easy, and helps ensure that you end up with a safe and reliable gun with a much better trigger than the stock one.

Welcome. Great choice. Buy extra mags and tons of ammo then shoot the pee pee out of it.
Happy Shooting,

I'm looking at getting a .308. What kind of groups are you guys getting at 100, 200, 300,....yards? I was thinking of getting one of them Armalite SASS .308s but 2 grands is a hard bullet to bite (get it, haha). Anyway, I'm looking for 1 moa. Thanks!

Well jrmy_1. I am kind of new to open sights so the groupings weren't that good. But I was happy to have hit the paper most of the time at 100 yards lol. That is all I have shot it, but was very impressed. With a scope I'm sure I'll do much better. So I couldn't tell you for sure how well it groups with open sights. But I love the gun. And I am sure there have been many discussions about it but I can't find what I am looking for, but is there any modification you can do to make the action stop dinging the brass? I would appreciate any help. And I want to get an open end stock not a pistol grip as I am planning on using this gun for hunting some also. Anybody know of any good sites to find parts for this gun? Thanks everybody for the posts and help. But for the price and performance I would go with a saiga jrmy_1.
