I am in the process of obtaining one of the Arsenal Saiga SGL 10's , the website specs show this rifle having a 14mm RH threading, I have yet to find a muzzle brake or other muzzle device in that RH threading. All I see are LH 14mm.

Is it a mistake about the RH threading or is that correct? If so, point me in a direction for RH threaded muzzle stuff.

ThirtyCal
Neither is correct. It's a 24mm RH thread. The barrel is not threaded, the front sight block is threaded.

I think I remember seeing that if you cut off the shroud from the front sight then the barrel itself would be exposed, allowing the LH 14mm threading onto it.

Thanks, even harder to find 24mm devices.

Guess I can buy a 24 to 14 adapter for it.

These SGL Saigas are exclusively imported by Arsenal, Inc. and are not really like the RAAC Saigas.

No, you can not.

Your SGL Saiga should come with a US made K-Var 24mm brake.

14x1.0LH thread is the norm with most ex-Combloc weapons, but 14x1.0RH will occasionally be encountered in some applications. There are plenty of 24mm accessories available, if you mill the 24mm extension off of your FSB and thread it 14x1.0LH, you won't have the spring detent needed to index and retain most accessories. I would recommend either running the 24mm setup or replacing the entire FSB with one from a standard AK with the spring detent.

Well, I am not intending to do all that work just to change either a compensator or muzzle device. I will find what I am looking for eventually.

Thanks.

Plenty of 24mm muzzle devices. Thats a pretty standard Krink size too. Go to K var or others. I have an arsenal threaded for 24mm that I put this on;
