the fact that after i remove the rsa latch, i'll have two 1/8 holes in my catch lever.

Just consider them "lightening holes", now it weighs less.

I have seen this two and used the second one:

K-var also has the magazine catch pins if you don't want to use a bolt. My experience is that due to the slight pin height differences and magazine lip differences you may have to lightly modify the magazine catch. Just a few hits with a flat file so that it locks in tight.

Good luck,

My conversion kit from K-Var had all the parts and I had to drill a new hole for it. When the holes were in the stock position the lip had to be filed just a little. Get the new pin and go slow and keep dry fitting until it slides over the clip tang. I left mine a hair long for it to wear in and mate with the clips I have. Good luck..

If the holes are that unsightly to you, it would be really easy to weld them up, grind them smooth, and refinish the area.

it's kinda two part. a) it's unsightly cool.gif i don't want to smack it doing a tactical reload and it snap in half.

Like Hogdog said, weld them up or fill them full of jb weld then grind smooth and repaint. Lot less trouble than replacing the whole latch.

It's an AK not a Sako You're causing yourself more trouble than it's worth.

If you ever break it off. I'll send you one for free.
I have them from conversions when I replace the entire trigger guard.
