Howdy!

Newb looking for advice...

I'm gathering parts to do a PG conversion on my new Saiga 7.62x39 (haven't even gotten to fire it yet). I'd put a Tapco Intrafuse T6 stock and PG on my wife's Saiga .410 a while back and liked it. It's been rock solid so far.

I've ordered a T6 w/PG from Dinzag for my 7.62x39 which hasn't arrived yet. But after getting a standard AK PG nut and screw from AK-builder I noticed that the standard AK PG screw threads are totally different from the Intrafuse PG screw threads on my wife's PG. Also, the head of the AK PG screw is so small that the entire head passes cleanly thru the Intrafuse PG screw hole...

Should I give up on using the Intrafuse PG for a PG conversion and get another PG, or will adding a washer and using a shortened PG screw work OK with the Intrafuse PG? I'm on budget (hence the Tapco T6's), so I'm looking for an inexpensive -- but still reliable -- solution, if possible.

If I need to get a new PG, what do ya'all suggest?

TIA,

Carl
