Full Version: Wrong Trigger in K-VAR's SGL-10 Kits

Just an FYI, the trigger that comes with the K-VAR SGL-10 conversion kit is a small hole bushingless style, whereas the guns come with a large hole bushing type disconector. All of the parts are U.S. made.
If you run the trigger group without the bushing, your disconector will be wobbling all over the place. However, since the K-Var trigger is pretty soft compared to a Tapco unit, you can always drill out the trigger to accept the bushing.

Thanks for the info, Tony.

I finished my conversion a couple of weekends ago with the parts I received from K-Var, but tonight I'm going to pull everything back apart and make this modification. Do you think this disconnector mismatch could eventually cause an FCG malfunction or other problems? I’ve already run about 250 rounds through mine without a hiccup, but I was wondering whether this issue would have developed in into a full-fledged crisis had I not found out about it now.

Best regards,
RK

Thanks Tony, I got my SL-10 yesterday and have the K-var kit on order. Luckily, I like the Tapco G2 FCG better anyway (cleaner break - less creep, and never any trigger slap). Good info for people planning to use the Arsenal FCG.

I suppose it could cause a malfunction, but I have seen guys put them together that way, and everything works, albeit a bit sloppy.
