I would like to make a strong showing at next years CTI shotgun match, I went this year and was disapointed in my shooting. I could make excuses but why bother I had a very bad day. Next year I'd really like to see TEAM SAIGA Kick butt. You can bet that Eric and I will be there with an ample supply of Kevin's 10 round magazines.
This is an 8 stage tacitcal match held in Oxford North Carolina you shoot buckshot, slugs and a ton of bird shot. There are flying and stationary clay targets, steel targets, and poppers, you need to know where your gun is hitting at 75 to 100 yards. There is a select a slug stage.
The way I figure it with the advantage of a good nights sleep, Kevin's magazines, Jerik's bolt stop, and the skills of TEAM SAIGA we can domante the match. The level of competition is very high the flint lock shooters are amazing. Still we have the superior shotgun and we can rule!
Robb,
I agree with you about 20 guage shotguns. I think you should be able to use a 410 if you think you can accoplish the stage.
The way I see it in a tactical match anything "tactical" goes. That way the superior weapon shines. If 20 is more practical than 12 the go for it. But I don't wright the rules (yet) rember this is a game not for keeps so we have to bend to game machanics and match practialites like setting up. I would like to see a load from cover rule of course when setting up the match we would have to provide cover that would take way too much set up time.
I believe TEAM SAIGA is in action this weekend in Oxford at the CTI 3 gun match, Good Luck TEAM SAIGA!
Eric and I are considering going to the Recon Match Anyone else wanting to shoot that one! I'm trying to set up a Car Pool from Norfolk Va.
