these are PDF files (directory of state specific laws is HTML, as are the US House of Representatives Links) DIRECTLY from the government. They are all .gov links (meaning they should be considered to be actual copies of the law, and not what someone copied to thier website godknows when), and are all current:

Federal Firearms Regulations Reference Guide 2005
Directory of State Firearms Laws Listed by State - Local County and City laws are listed here - 2005
ATF Guidebook Importation & Verification of Firearms, Ammunitions & Implements of War
Code of Federal Regulations, Title 27. ( Import Laws )
FIREARMS IMPORT RESTRICTION STAMPS LIST

US House Of Representatives - COMPLETE AND CURRENT US Code of Law - Searchable by Title-Code-abstract
US House Of Representatives - COMPLETE AND CURRENT US Code of Law - Downloadable by section.

other public sources to refer to are:
US Patent and Trademark Offices - Searchable with abstract
http://www.packing.org/ public interpretation site
http://www.lcav.org/ another public interpretation site

packing org is pretty good, but has interpretations on it that arent to go by, more of like a really good idea of...

lcav org has some really good general info thats easy to find

the last two are interpretation sites, and are not legal resources, but a good interpretation of the laws, and the sites both say this. still good places to look at.

I hope this helps somebody out....

if anyone has state links to STATE GOVERNMENT SPECIFIC sites for state legislature, please post them here, and I will add them to this list. I will search for more when I get a chance.......
