Stripping is easy...

Make sure gun is UNLOADED... bolt forward...

Push the little tab at the rear of the cover plate, when in, lift rear of cover plate up and forward, it will pop right off... tab will return to its detent position.

Push tab out of detent position, it is also the recoil spring. remove that unit from bolt carrier.

slide bolt carrier to the rear, all the way then lift up and out to the rear.

The bolt is connected to the front of the bolt carrier, it will twist one way or the other, one way will lock it forward, the other will allow its removal. Remove bolt.

ahead and on the right side, on the FSB ( front sight block) is a tabbed lever. ( an inch long or so) rotate it back and towards up. as you do this, it will allow removal of the gas tube.

Check for screws in the bottom front of receiver, removal of lower handguard is by this screw. If there is no screw, removal of gas tube should allow removal of lower handguard.

Clean as you would ANY rifle.

reassemble.... shoot... enjoy... repeat as needed. laugh.gif

Any other questions, PLEASE PM me... I will answer them to the best of my ability.

There are lots of skilled, knowledgable, and friendly people on this forum so don't be afraid to ask questions. I've learned a lot here in just a couple of months. Indy and others are great helping with all types of questions. Have at it. 032.gif
