  4. I agree. Allot of great information in archived here, but I learn allot by people asking questions, and many I have not thought about. Also, either I need to learn some new tricks with the forum search feature, or it could use some tweaking, as I get a little frustrated with it sometimes. I like seeing the conversations repeat as I have wanted to give input on some threads, but the thread was really old.   5. the screws just hide the old trigger pin holes , ive used the old pins and just stuck them in and re flare the end ( will not work with ace reciever block . ive used button head screws , no problem with them coming out but you have to drill and tap ace reciever block . weld up holes is the best and easy way to do it the way i weld them up is , i put a thick piece of copper inside reciever next to holes and use a hobart mig on low heat and high feed , build up weld over reciever and then grind flush , blast and paint . takes about 10 minutes

  7. ive got an eaa with bho and eaa without bho , and a k usa without bho , when did they start the bho ? and when did eaa take over from k usa ?
  8. i know i bought my first saiga back in the later 90s from cdnn is that when they started importing them or have they been around longer . my first three s12 i gave 199.00 apiece for . and 169.00 for 762 x39
  9. very easy to modify. Just push the pin from where the metal block that the screw goes into and take the block off. Dremel that area down untill it fits in the receiver. As for the front i used a steel scope ring top clamp and bent it to fit and drilled the hole for th screw to hold tight to gas block. oh a weaver metal scope ring , you got pics i would love to see your set up
  10. does the hand guard need to be milled to fit saiga 12 , how easy is it to build adaptor to hold front of hand guard ? it looks like a piece of 100thousand shim stock cut and heat to bend u over right size mandral , looks like you could make one in ten minutes .
  11. its the hinge that has me baffled , the tubes and butt plate would be just cutting and welding .
  12. they look junky , i was going to go with an ace but i put it on another saiga and im not sure i want to spend 150 on another ace . i wounder if i can make one ?
  13. ok now that i have introduced my self , i want to change the above saiga . im thinking tapco sidefolding stock , saw pistol grip , and galil handguard . plus i want to put aimpoint on it and g2 surefire light . any suggestions ? do i really need red dot scope on it ? best way to mount a light
  14. am i the only one that uses the origanal saftey stop ? and boy do i love the look of the tromix trigger guards , looks like im the only one to build my own ar stock adaptor too
