  1. Ok I served 9yrs active and am now serving as a Reservist. My biggest thing is the lack of privacy in the military. Men and women are seperated for just that for most of your time training and as much as I would of enjoyed taking a shower with 50 naked females its not oging to happen. When I was in bootcamp you see every part of your platoon mates whether you want to or not. I mean we didnt even have doors on the shitters, we showered under a shower tree in a shower room, we got dressed online by the numbers side by side. Until we can do the same thing with co-ed platoons then keep the gays in the closet. I mean dont get me wrong you do your job do it well and we wont have a problem I had a Marine under my command that was gay he was a good Marine, but did I shower or get dressed around him no. I can tell you that the other Marines tried to avoid it as well. Its all the same for why females dont change and get nude in front of men, it opens the door to things and problems later that can occur. Until we can progress to a society like in Starship Troopers then it wont work. Too much could occur between the openly gay and the straight members that no commander wants those headaches or issues to deal with. Then again I am old school and have the Marine line of thought I dont think women belong on the front lines either and was proud of the fact that I never served in a unit with females while I was a active duty Marine. I was always with a BN served in the 2nd Mar Div and most of my time in 1st Mar Div the old breed, so I guess those old breed values wore off on me. Its all a matter of pure muscle havent met a woman yet who could pack up a 250lb man or drag him for what its worth. If you think 250 is a high number then think again thats around average after you add in gear and a weapon system. I am currently a firefighter as my other full time proffesion now and dont agree with women in that job either. I have a woman on my crew she is 125lbs soaking wet, while she is nice to look at she couldnt hall me anywhere if i went down in a fire. A firefighters protective gear and pack is almost 75lbs that makes me almost 300lbs turned out. Long story short a square peg wont fit in a round hole dont break the hammer trying to get it in.

Deep down, gay or not has little to do with a persons abilities to shoot the enemy. I've never been in combat, or even in the service, but it couldn't be much different than high school gym class when showering and stuff. You are around the same people everyday. People see you 100% warts and all. The thing I see as a deterent or detrimental thing, is like whats posted above. The physical capacity to handle the job. yet you better not breathe a word of it or your ass will be fired for EEOC rules. I would be much more afraid of "rats" or "ladder climbers" or whatever you want to call them. The shitheads that think they can go up the ranks by Kissing Ass and fucking every one they can in the process. If you are one of these people, then please fuck off and shoot yourself in the head right now to save us others from your crap. These are the people that often show up in Government, unfortunately.

  2. The music group 3 Dog Night (one is the Lonliest number, Black and White (jerimiah was a bullfrog), Mama told me not to come, Joy To The World) got it's name from an old Austrailian Outback saying. If it was a cool night, you only needed one dog to keep warm, if it was chillier, 2 dogs. If it was stinking COLD out, it was a 3 dog night. Holy god, those Mastiffs could rewrite history on that one! They are very cool dogs.

  3. Kevin in Texas is right on the money. The city police training range is right down the street from me, and when they start, it always startles me, because I haven't heard that sound in so long. It is a small town (4000), but they manage to do a very good job. I would think their budget would be bare bones, though. Maybe someone (even myself here) could contribute ammo so that they could be more proficient? I've never given this a thought before, but I have thought of going down to the range and letting them shoot my weapons, just so they could be comfortable with shooting a variety of things besides their service weapons. I would provide the ammo and guns, just to give them different feedback. Even if it was off hours, or off (city) property, I think the guys would get a kick out of it. Saiga -12 anyone? Most of the people here know each other, and I really don't see a conflict. But, I'm a citizen and not a Professional Law guy. I would in no way interfere with their training, just let them loose off a little steam and have fun shooting something different. Even my Glock 10. I'm not into "paybacks" or the "good old boys" system or anything or (you owe me), just like to have fun with guys who enjoy shooting, and they are few and far between here. I think they would have a good time. Ideas from some other cops? Why the hell can't people in a small community just share and enjoy, or can they? The 'range" in question isn't really a range. Maybe it's time to start a fundrasing drive to get them a real professional range. Maybe that would be a good project for a Boy Scout looking for his Eagle Badge to do. Hmnnn...

  5. Wherever the U.S. Constitution is followed!

    +1

    Yep, good point.

And it wont be North Vs. South, it'll be the Idiots in the cities(those dumb enough to stay when the SHTF) and everyone else.

Please do explain how your house in the middle of nowhere is so defensible. But first watch this!!! You really don't want to be considered an enemy or a threat by anyone. You're best bet in surviving a civil uprising is to lay low and do your best to protect home and family against roving bands of morons, city dweller or redneck. Both sides will end up getting spanked pretty badly. If the people in uniform roll by, just wave! Pray nothing ever happens and use your power in the ballot box. I choose to be on the side of the living!

Time to underground. But bunker bombs would rule that out as well.

  6. going to be more of a ideological revolution or should i say a "reclaiming of America" if fighting breaks out. Fiscal issues drove the American revolution in the first place. Britain was nearly bankrupt from the French and Indian war so they raised taxes on the colonies to pay for the massive national debt. Well now the fed is over 12 trillion in debt and several states are in debt too and Americans don't want to get stuck with paying the bill.

If things go bottoms up and shooting starts it will be ideologically divided between those who want to continue to have the government spoon feed them from cradle to grave at any expense and people want to earn a living all by themselves and be left alone.

    A+, a BIG A PLUS one.

  7. One year for Christmas, when I was a little kid, I got a stuffed dog that was at least that big or bigger compared to me. I've loved dogs ever since. I'd give anything (except the food bill) for a dog that big today. That would ROCK!, And, now that I think about it, the biggest dog I've ever seen was a Rottweiller at a vet in Houston. It's head was damn near the size of a horses head, and it was sitting on its haunches, almost three 1/2 foot tall. it looked pure evil, kickass cool.

  8. One of the funniest scenes I've ever seen in a movie was Naked Gun (2? I think?) where Leslie Nielsen shoots the grappling hook over the wall and it catches on the Dobermans collar. The more he hoists up, the closer the dog gets, with just a little growl each time! Seriously, I have never ever been bitten by a dog, even mean wild ones, but I would run like a little girl from these warriors. Our local paper just had a story where they are having to retire their K-9 dog after 8 years and said the replacement cost would be anywhere from $7000 to $10000. WoW! (Bow Wow - sorry bad joke) The retired dog will still be used for searches, but not active patrols and stuff. Very cool thread!

  9. So far, there are a few states willing to take on the feds. Wyoming just announced a $2000 fine and 2 year prison term for any Fed agent seeking to intervene with a "Within State" gun law. So far, Montana, Utah, Tennessee and Wyoming are really making a stand against the feds. Esp. Montana and Wyoming. Where the hell is Texas? Texas is a state many look up to, but are being sissies so far. Do you hear me Texans? SISSIES! Montana and Utah are out classing you. Wyoming just upped the ante. Where are you Texas? Tennessee has outclassed the southern tx boys as well. If Tx doesn't show up, there are many states that are beginning to assert there 9th and 10th amendment rights. Kansas was the latest I've seen a couple of weeks ago. GO KANSAS! Every state should get together with the others and join ranks. Montana rocks for being one of the first, but every one after them rocks just as hard and loud.

  10. Maybe I should look this up. In NE you can open carry. As long as it is in sight it is legal. (pistol) Some stores ban guns (walmart) etc. I am just barely in the city limits. City law says no gunfire. I call the Chief of Police and ask him if I can shoot my gun. He says "What for?" I say well, I've got some skunks, either your're going to get them or I am. He says "go ahead" lol. It's wacky reading about you guys living in the larger metro areas. Stuff I never dreamed of. I can drive a couple of miles and shoot all I want, no carry stuff, range fees or anything involved. I can seriously drive around in the country for hours on the back roads and never see another person. Sometimes I miss the city, sometimes not at all.

  11. I'm on call 24/7, so anyone I know can call anytime. If I have to set my alarm to get up for a doctors appointment, I sit and stare at the clock until it goes off because I'm scared I'll miss it. Life it so much better without an alarm clock. I get up far more tired than if I would have just stayed up reading. I can't do alarm clocks at all anymore. ( or 9 to 5 everyday ) That would suck so bad.

  12. The harder you work, they luckier you get! Good news. Especially in this very tight job market. Don't sqaunder your opportunities. The girls are as abundant as the fishes in the ocean you were looking at. Don't let them distract you until you get your feet settled. (Don't want to be be basing your life on what COULD have been - seen it a LOT of times) Congrats!

  13. It just seems shitty to me, that if was your son or daughter, you would move heaven and hell to get justice served, but since these are "castaways" sent to BoysTown, that no one gives a shit. Jesus fucking christ - people. What does it take. How can anyone be put in that situation and not say "something is seriously fucked up here, and I don't want to associate with you anymore". This was nationwide and went as far as the White House. Look up Jeff Gannon, Gay Escort/White House Press Reporter. The upper echelon were all involved. It has been reported in the mainstream media. Maybe no one noticed because 9/11 was going on at the time. Our Country has been on a fucked up course for some time now. A very few people seem to give a shit. WHAT does it take? Watch the vid on youtube or google. It is real.

  14. Cornielius "Neil" McCarthy, 69, died. After a courageous battle with cancer. He was active in 4-H and FFH, graduating in 1958. He served on the Lexington and Gothenburg Police forces until 1966 when he retired, after being injured in the line of duty. Albert Lind, 93 died.He and his brothers walked over the hills to a rural school, and after completing eighth grade, he went to work for his uncle and numerous other ranchers. He worked at Jackamar Flats during World War II, and was given a farm deferment. Just two of the 4 headlines in my home paper obits. Don't know Corey Haim. Heck, I don't know these guys, either. But I bet these guys impacted my life in many ways, through others that Cory dude could only dream of. Time to turn off the tv, and pay attention to those around you.

  15. Just finished up watching it again. Hadn't seen it for awhile. There is another more comprehensive vid on the web, even though the bush's ordered all copies to be destroyed. The courts in NE ended up charging a 15 year old girl (at the time) and sentenced her to 25-30 years. How's that for justice? A girl gets raped and used, then gets 25 years jail time for testifiing. There are Many, many more articles on youtube if you look up Sen. John DeCamp, (he was unbelieving at first, then horrified at what humans would do to another after he learned) or the book The Franklin Cover Up, written by John DeCamp. This is odd, I thought that since there were so many vets here and police guys, that they would be interested in this mis carriage of justice. A lot of people died under strange circumstances in this case. The Washington Post has copies of the article online about the gay escort. There are reams of documents surrounding this case, and yet no one wants to talk about it. The one girl that got sent to the parties and got abused got 25 years in prison. HOW THE FUCK DOES that happen, while all the rich and powerful walked away. John DeCamp is a Hero, or haven't any of you looked him up. The facts are out there on this and many, many other cases. Yet no one seems to care. Everything gets shoved into a small corner and labeled nut or truther or conspiracy or something. It's beginning to look like to me that too many people are in their little comfort zone, and will not say anything against anybody unless it affects them personally. If someone else is getting ass raped or having gourds shoved up their ass when they are 10, well, that is fine. It takes less attention away from them. I know this is an isolated incident, but it was country wide and widely reported at the time. No one cared then, and apparently no one does now. It was all shoved under the rug. You all sit and pray that you won't be targeted to be made a scapegoat, just want to retire and get it over with, and if you are, no one will come to your defense when you most need it, because they are scared they will be targeted next. Yes, in the above case there were some big names, all the way up to the President with the gay escort in the White House, but how long are you going to stand for it? Someone had to break the case open and reveal it. Someone had to be sickened enough to have the guts to report it. On a grass roots level, if the word was put out that we won't stand for this, maybe some heads would roll on future issues. It reminds me of a few years ago in my hometown when a rookie cop arrested the Mayor for drunken driving. Mayor kept job, nothing on record, cop lost job. All hush hush. There was/is a "list" of people you don't arrest. Mayor would be number one. How do people get this twisted in the first place, and then get rich and in a place of "power", they almost always have accomplices..

  16. Had the same problem with some dogs not with the cats though used a hand remote shock collar and about 2 days of sitting inside and watch the dog as it would attempt to jump give it a pop now the dog will not leave the fence with out a person you can open the gate it will just lay there untill some one let's them know they can come out but takes some time depends on how long its been going on but usualy a few days of keeping an eye on em

I guess this sounds like the best deal. She has been getting bolder, jumping when I turned away for a moment to talk with a friend and the last time, jumping as soon as let her in the yard and I was out of view for 5 sec. She's too smart for her own good. Luckily, it was freezing rain last night and she wanted back in after 4 hours. I wouldn't really care if she just stayed on the acres, but there are semis that go by in front. She will chase the cats for quite a ways. Thanks for the tip.

  17. I won't tie the dog up, I love all my dogs unconditionally, and that would just be wrong, to me. The fence is around the front of my property, and it just isn't feasible or asthetic (sp) or affordable to do anything like that. Wow, I wish there was an easy answer. Unfortunately, she apparently loves to kill cats. You would think that cats would be able to outrun her, but I guess not. For 2 of them at least. I hate cats, just have them around for mice control, so aren't worried about them. I put water and food out for them, but only enough that they keep mice away. Cats should be able to outrun or climb a dog, but the dumb fuckers sit outside of the fence and torment the dogs on purpose. I see it over and over., then when the crosseyed fuckers acually get chased, they don't know what to do because they are retarded, and get killed. The Yellow lab is almost like a cat with a mouse. She bites hard enough to break the cats back, then let's it up enuogh to follow it and torment it more. She will play with it like awhile like that. No different than a cat and a mouse.
