  1. I went through the exact same bullshit with those assholes. I was locked in at $208.00 per 1000 x-4 cases(Wolf) with free shipping back last December, and played the "continual backorder" game, only to find out I was one day late after their "must respond to keep item on backorder" request. After some heated venting on my part, the gal on the other end asked "What do you want me to do?". I told her I wanted any other form of 7.62x39mm ammo in its place, for the same price. She put me on hold, then told me she was "advised" that she couldn't do it. I told her it was just one day past the deadline of keeping me on the "back-ordered" list, and wanted to get back on. She again put me on hold, then, once again informed me that she was "advised" that she couldn't do it. She also told me that they wern't expecting any more Wolf ammo anymore. She then offered me a $10.00 off my next purchase coupon, which as far as I was concerned, she could have shoved up her ass! I demanded my membership refund, which I haven't yet gotten, that she said would be credited back to my account. I was really pissed.

I never had any problems with Sportsmansguide up til then. Now I rate them right under CTD.

Report them to the Better Business Bureau. I had an issue with the blue and yellow big box electronics retailer not honoring a mail in rebate. a week after I filed the report with BBB I received a phone call to apologize and a check for the rebate.

  2. I read A LOT of comic books. Wade Wilson>Frank Castle.....That's all Im gona say.

    Any Fans of Walking Dead?

Big fan of Walking Dead. Awesome comic (and now that I have the wife reading it any gun or ammo purchase is justified by the possibility of the zombie apocalypse). If you like that check out Brit a short series by the same author.

I also loved Preacher and Transmetropolitan. Big fan of the Indies (although many would argue Vertigo comics are not an Indie). Ohh a couple other old favorites, Johnny the Homicidal Maniac and Squee.

.303 isn't bad (by the same guy that wrote Transmetropolitan, and somewhat gun related but a bit political at the end)

Comics are great....Proud to be a comic dork!

  3. I'd send you mine since I never put the BHO back in, but the determining factor in not putting it in was losing that spring.....

Sounds to be about par for the course. I would just forget about it, but I don't currently have a range to shoot it, and the major reason I was going to put it back in was because I have heard many rifle ranges want to see the action open after cease fire is called. I don't want to have to but one of those silly plastic chamber flag monstrosities to hold the action open if the ranges around are concerned about it.

  4. I did my conversion last weekend which went fairly smoothly (a minor snag tapping for the bullet guide...but I worked through it with a little help of the search function here).

Then I got to putting the bolt hold open in. While trying to balance everything and push the spring down while pushing the axis pin through, the spring sprung away never to be seen again.

Anyone know where I can get a new spring? I emailed RRA, but they passed me on to saigastock.com who do not show the part on their website, and have not responded to emails. Any ideas on where to pick up a new one? Also any advice to make the BHO installation a bit smoother would be appreciated (I watched the carolina shooter video, but they make it look easier than my install).
