I love election time, it entertains me so much and frustrating just the same. I was at a Denny's in Texas quite a few years back. Also in there were a dozen or more pro wrestlers. The same guys that when the cameras were on are all "I'm gonna gethcha". When the cameras are off, they're all eating dinner together. I'm kinda thinking that's the way the collusive twins, the two parties, are.
In addition to that, most people that adhere to one party or the other seem to play the blame game a lot. R's blame D's for everything, D's blame R's. Classic divide and conquer. Through social engineering, the powers that be get the dissent going. You know what, wouldn't it be better to address the problems collectively rather than to sit on your ass and blame others for the problems?
Reading through the election based threads here and on other 2a based forums, it seems rare for someone to say "yeah, I really like this guy". Much more common is "I'll vote for this person even though they're mediocre to me so that other person doesn't win". This just furthers the entrenchment of the bullshit.
I'd imagine with the demographics of the S12 forums, a lot of you will get this reference; Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.

Haha, I had one of those. Biggest piece of shit I've owned. Pulling the charging handle back any more or less than 2/3rds and it wouldn't chamber a round properly. I also had to slam the mags in.

That VERY rarely works HB. I speak from experience. We started at a national level, then scaled it back locally for a very different reason/cause. The problem is that each level you mentioned doesn't like having the status quo messed with. They sweep it under the rug, have entities involved in the issue audited or other forms of harassment, and other tactics to discourage or outright stop the work trying to be accomplished by the "rebel rousers". My city has 20k people in it; my city plays by their rules just as the overlords above them do. Beyond that, each level you mentioned counts on the entity above it and it's highly unlikely a city is going to side with a group if the higher entity doesn't support the groups.

A couple years before BarryCare, I had a hearing issue in one of my ears. After the techs did some sort of tech equipment exam one of them said that my good ear had some loss at whatever frequency range. She followed up with a statement that was toned as an inquisitive question; something along the lines of this is common with people who shoot firearms. She didn't ask me a direct question so I did not respond.
This was three to four years ago so it may have been just a statement on her part; but I certainly took notice as medical records and lack of privacy have been an issue for more than a decade.

A friend came across a Hesse converted Saiga 7.62x39. Before all the Hesse comments start, we've put a few hundred rounds through it and it fires fine. The non-issue, issue is that the conversion is super sloppy with low quality furniture.
My question is that most any AK part should be a simple swap other than possible normal tweaking if needed, correct?

Agreed. I have a friend who buys all his gold in 1oz bullion. He is buying gold and silver not for investment, but survival. I asked him how many instances is he going to need to get something for the value of 1oz, he didn't come up with many instances. If buying gold for survival, I'd go heavy in 1/10thoz over 1oz.
