  1. And this ignores the more glaring point- the 5.56..

Shitty rifle in a shitty round..

But our armed forces arn't a priority anymore.. we tie their hands behind their backs and cancel projects like the f-22 to save money to waste on more useless crap.

and btw before people scream, by shitty rifle in a shitty round I mean relatively.. Yes the m4 can kill and is better than something out there I'm sure.. but considering we are meant to be THE superpower, holding all other things relative, it blows.

  2. If it's wasn't for global warming would the world still be covered with ice ?

and wouldn't we have a dinosaur hunting season ?

But many global warming deniers think the dinosaurs died in Noah's flood.

He remembered the mosquitos but overlooked the dinosaurs.. easy mistake to make.. I always was amazed at his scientific sense, speed, and accuracy when he correctly deposited all of the animals in the right habitats throughout the world.

Actually my gran is a JW and believes that god put dinosaur bones on the earth just to test our faith.. Go figure.

  3. V,

You're right about "back when", it's kinda like "the sky is falling" of 1000CE, 2000CE and now 2012.

But I do believe in Climate Change, though I do greatly question just how responsible the Human species is. For me the big question is "Do we adapt or die?" As I've said elsewhere, I see a lot of death in the near future because few if any will choose to adapt but will play the blame game or live in complete denial. Climate Change has been going on since the earth formed(however you wish to veiw that) and it will go on long after we've left it for dead. I feel we need to deal with it and move on. Adaptibility is the hallmark of a survivalable species. It's why we're here and the Dinos aren't.

agreed completly.. Climate change (in the REAL sense, not the bullshit we get fed) is a natural occuring deal that's been going on as long as the world has been about- the worlds basically one really long chemical reaction.. Looking at different time periods (not within the last 2000 years, why people think 2000 years or even the period of time humanity has existed is relevant whatsoever boggles the mind, such a small drop in the bucket and complety insignificant) it's clear that the world has had a lot of different "normal" climates and in each of them something thrived.

Also, on a planet that is 75% water we barely cover a decent portion of the remaining surface.. Add to that the fact that the part of the surface which is 75% water also has it's own enviorment which extends down filled with miles of different types of life and you realize that we are such a small portion of a small part of the planet in an insignificant amount of time that assuming our byproducts cause global climate cycles is not only arrogant but insane. It normally takes millions of years, and we are saying we can cause significant change in 100-200 just with our byproducts? WHAT!?!?

It's the same crap that gets spouted by "if the rainforests die we die" type bullshit.. Logically with the ammount of oxygen produced by 75% of the world (ocean) and the amount produced by the remaining unpopulated land (seriously, hit up google earth, check out what portion of the land we actually have an effect on vs how much is forest) and you realize that once again it's an insane arguement.

And Big sal- kudos to tryng to argue this point even when the god damned "professionals" on your side have proven to be full of shit.. It really must be hard to argue a point when the scientific minds on your side of the case are proven to be corrupt and full of crap. But I guess it's easier to argue on a bullshit arguement than admit your wrong- I know thats the hardest thing of all for a lot of people. And before you ask me to suck your balls, just want you to know I'm really not interested. Generous offer but I don't swing that way.

  4. This seems like a dumbass question but I couldn't find the answer..

For the 5.45 what trigger group? Double or single hook?

or would any of these work?

thanks and if this was a dumb post sorry! couldn't find it..

  5.

I am back to my factory recoil spring, which makes me feel better, too. I am thinking of replacing my hammer spring back to original as well, but not sure yet. I am a little bummed that it finally works because my OCD lived well with such a a propblematic shotgun - don't know what to do with myself now... ahh magwell is on the horizon.

Haha.. thats the exact thing that happened to me now mines fixed I don't know what to do

  6. don't mind the utg for look and feel.. But the fact that it doesn't function right (I mean the crap shouldn't slide off) bothers me. It sucks if you don't notice and you go to grab your gun after a lot of mags and your burn yourself because your grip slid off.

  7. all saigas are made in the same factory. depending on which model you are looking for there are things you should consider- for a 12 gauge you need to check for gas ports, which is what I'm assuming your looking for considering you posted in the 12 part of the forum..

If you like the finish and nothing seems slanted or out of order, unscrew the gas piston at the front of the gas block and take a paperclip in.. Make sure you can feel at least 3 holes.. 4 is possible as well, 2 and 1 are bad, but can be repaired for free by some of the guys around here thanks to warranties..

edit: that's not all the issues but the most common.. honestly if it looks good and has a good gas system, I'd say go for it

  8. for the luv of God why?! some hard working russians painted your bolt carrier...is it broken...gun not shoot???? leave alone!!!!!...

Honestly, "leave alone" is not something that we do well here... :lolol:

haha yeah.... laughed my ass off at that.

Keep in mind saigas are imported with low quality stocks and HGs with an easily removed trigger plate sticking over the original hole for the sole purpose of being easy to mess with.. They don't expect we will keep them as they are..

  9. funny that I just finished a beam and coke.. haha

as far as 7.62 goes.. another would be nice, but I'd like to go for something different.. And I like the 7.62 more than the .223, would basically only buy a .223 if it had something to offer that my other saigas/aks don't.. the 5.45 has cheap ammo.. that makes it VERY appealing... never know though, tax free gun show.. who knows what I'll "have to have".. regardless of if I can afford it

  10. yeah... If I get the 5.45 I'll have corrosive and non-corrosive ammo stocked- If I'm only going to fire one gun might as well go corrosive since I only have to clean one afterwards.. If I'm bringing multiple guns would go non corrosive since less shots fired and less time to clean per gun.

  11. Heading to a tax free gun show tomorrow.. Family has asked me to pick out a gun on them for xmas.. I was leaning toward the saiga .223.. But I already have 7.62/.308/12 and was wondering if theres any point..

The two things I was wondering about were

    ammo prices:

7.62 vs .223 I couldn't find a huge difference in price, and as I'm more of a 7.62 guy I'd rather spend money on 7.62 ammo if the price is the same anyway... I shoot a lot, so a few cents on a round would be really good.

    Reliability:

And no, I don't mean legendary AK reliability for whether the system will jam or not, bla blah.. I know it's awesome.. I mean a lot of the saigas in .223 seems to have issues from what I've read on this forum- mainly feeding issues.. Done a good bit of reading but this is my sort of last minute question for the final decision...

If I don't go for the .223 I'd probably pick up a taurus 1911 or pt92.. or maybe I'll get suckered into a pistol and a .223.. I don't know.. Basically wanting opinions....

Edit: Just had to edit it because the topic name isn't really fair- I think the .223 is worth buying, I was more asking is it worth buying for someone in my position
