  1. Very nice wood.

I agree with the OP. I simply don't see the point in converting a Saiga in California. The better trigger is not worth needing a tool to remove magazines.

But we, the people of Republic of Kalifornia, love to have an AK so the lock magazine is not that much of a pain to remove with just a screw driver or an allen wrench. :)

  2. ignotus137,

Just a head up for you if you're from Southern California, most of the range here doesn't allow steel core ammo unless you shoot in the desert or private land. If that is the case, you will have to with either Fiocchi or Yugo ammo. Right now, SGAmmo have 1000 rounds of Golden Tiger for $199.

I think you can at south bay rod and gun club I saw some guy on YouTube shooting silver bear

Have you ordered from sgammo before the reason I ask is cause my MacAfee said this Adware, spyware, or viruses (1)

Yes, I have ordered ammo from them in the past with no problem whatsoever. Shipping to Cali is very reasonable too (around $20/case). There is a thread on Calguns forum with lot of satisfied customers from this vendor and Golden Tiger.

  4. I got all the parts including the bullet guide on order. A friend who is a machinist will help with the conversion and the gun will comply the 922r compliance. Further, I'll be using the stock 10 rounds mag when I'm out on the range to practice and the 30 rds mags only when SHTH.

Is there any detail instruction on how to file the mag catch? I hate to ruin my Saiga.

When I had my Saiga 5.45x39 (sold it last month), the Bulgarian 30 rounds mag fitted perfectly without any mods or bullet guide installation. Is there such mag existed for Saiga 7.62?

    Thanks
