  1. I love Bullpups but that thing is a POS, And I'm sure the guy is touting how he is the PREMIER gunsmith in the area and the desgn is a one off original of his desgn. I might try the Muzzlelite but the quality of the plastic sucks and the other is to much cash.

  2. So what happened to the slug? Did it frag on impact or just go thru an existing hole in the backstop?

    Cool explosion pic!

On mythbusters, .50 BMG fmj rounds were really tore up when they hit water at 3000 fps. He might post a picture of the slug if there is any piece/pieces to be found.

If you remember on Mythbusters the slug is not hypersonic and stayed in one piece but did crack there 1st water tank, I use to do the same thing for fun and the power of such a large slug is awesome and take a look at the cabinet top before and after the slug hitting the water pail. We also use to score the slugs nose to try to get more violent reaction.

  3. Hey BR3

I just wanted to say that I inquired several weeks back on prices but did not get back to you and say that i'm sorry as I got the news that we are being laid off. As soon as I get back up and running Iwill be getting a set of hand guards from you, But now I'm torn between the 3rd pic from the top and the last one.

  4. Sweet man nice shottie! I asked the same question about mine once. It's just like yours but imported by K USA. I converted mine and love it. I believe the conversion only made it worth more, to me at least. Does yours have the long barrel and the solid sight rib too?

I would like it better with the pistol grip stock! And from your pics its the same length barrel as yours and the rib is solid with that little brass ball. I will most likly deep six it for a good dot sight mounted on the side rail.

Last night I took of the forends off of my 410 and 12 to see how well they would swap out but the 410 forend is way too long to fit, And I want a slimeline forend for my 12.

Does the 20 guage model have the slimeline forend as the 410 and is it shorter than a 410s forearm?

  5. I have a early model 410 that was imported by Big Bear if my memory serves right It has no adjustable gas plug and shoots only 3 inch shells and no BHD but has the recoil comp choke tube (the one with all the little holes). Should I keep this one stock and search for a newer model to do pistol grip conversion on? And any idea whats it woth? just want to know but i'm not selling. Thanks in advance-Marc

  6. If you want wood I can do.

Thats for the offer and I will keep that in mind but I'm going to check the gunshow out first and see what I can find.

And for our members in the New England area The Manchester Gun Show will be Jan 14-15 at the Center of NH of off Elm st.

  7. Here's one that's pretty interesting I got from a fellow member in England. He had it removed from his 24" bbl S-12. It's just like the polychoke but the ports are before the choke splines. Anyone ever seen one like this or know who makes them?

If you ever been to a skeet and trap field you will see thse on several guns and I believe that a couple of manufactures had simular models but the best know is the Cutts Co. That was purchased by Lyman. The theroy is the plastic wad will expand just enough when it passes through the expansion chamber(the one with the slots) so that the shot will seperate from the the wad cleanly as it pass through the choke. If I remember the choke part was prone to plastic build up.

    Heres a pic

I also have a external choke that is spring loaded and was made for trap guns, You set the choke by pulling on it from the muzzle and it would lock into postion. This setting I beleive is a medium choke for the 1st shot when shooting doubles then the recoil of the first shot caused the choke to reset to full choke to reach out and get the 2nd bird. But most trap shooters use O/U and the barrels are choked differantlly for the same effect.

  8. I don't know if anyone noticed but the top cover with the full length rail is also attached to the gas block. Like a Krinkov.

We could have toys like that to play with but Bush and his import ban. That really SUCKS!!

  9. Can anyone confirm the thread? I was under the impression that the thread is

M22x.75 RH.  I was planning on making a barrel TAT set up to thread mine with a die. I can find the size in a RH thread, but if it's LH like an AK things are going to suck big. Can someone with a factory choke tell me if it threads on (turn Right-tight, clockwise). The chrome lining shouldn't have anything to do external threading and some members have cut the barrel with hacksaws and hose clamps without damaging the interior chrome lining. The external threads are so fine it won't effect barrel quality at all. I'm a mechanic not a machinist, but I would think that any decent machinist would be able to cut metric threads LH or RH, as far as  know they're a standard 60 degree pitch.

    Mark

At rusmilitary the thread stated is M22x0.75-6g I not sure if its RH as my new toy has no screw on chokes but my 410 does and it's left hand thread.

  10. I made a jig to press the gas block off my Saiga 12. If there's interest I'll post more pics and shop drawings you'd need to make one.

    Butch...

I just picked up a 12 and will need to tone down on the barrell length and if you could please post the drawings. Thanks-blkbd

  11. I think the problem is the external Left hand thread and this might be is what is scaring them, Also Is there enough metal on the outside or will it need to built up? I know it won't be OEM but you could have it internally threaded for screw in chokes and other devices. My local shop and friend who plays with a lathe and mill but he is not a gunsmith will install screw in's because there is a kit that they can buy and it has all the piloted reamers, cutters and taps to make it fool proof. I found a 12 this weekend and did not want to chance on losing out if the new importer should fall through so I put it on layaway and plan on going the srew in route.

P.S. If you still want the factory chokes then you may have to seek out a machine shop to do the metric lefthand thread, Check your local yellow pages
