Ok.. reading the book.. it says CaNra-308-1 version 02..
On the RAIL side it has Made in Russia by IZHMASH and Russia American Armory Company Scottsburg, IN (looks cheezy)
On the bolt handle side.. I have SAIGA-308-1 and under that CANRA-308-1 stamped on it..
On the Izhmash Russia site for the 308-1 version 02 shows a flash hider on the end of THAT model and barrel.. hmmm..
Maybe I got the barrel for the Russian version 02.. without the flashider??
I used a ruler and the inside of the flush end is about 5/8" across..
I dunno... Anyone know??

the other day I was reading a thread about Saiga rifles made in 2008, they have reliability problems , and quality control because the big demand of Saiga at that time . Truth or False?

where I can find some help or a video showing how to move the trigger for the conversion ?

spitstickler, that's some nice shooting! Don't be surprised if the SMK 168 actually does worse than the cheap monarch. The saiga barrel is a 1:12 twist rate so it won't do well with heavier bullets. 168 may be ok though. Keep us posted on your results.
I shoot about 2.5 MOA at 100yds with iron sights using Brown Bear in a prone supported position. I could do better with a scope but haven't settled on one yet. My .308 is the 16" barrel version with a tapco fcg. I've mentioned to several people on several forums about what an undervalued weapon this is but they don't seem to be listening. They equate undervalued with cheap. They'd rather have a $2000+ SOCOM II that they would shoot just as poorly as the $450 saiga.
do you have your S308 with the stock trigger??

If you want a new trigger, you'll have to complete a conversion. There are no after market triggers that replace the factory trigger. Do a bit of research into conversions and see if it is something you are interested in. I decided on converting my rifle solely on the fact that the factory 308 trigger sucks goat balls. Look at a step by step tutorial on a conversion and see if its something you can do. If its not, I'd recommend talking to a gunsmith. Dinzag (site vendor) makes an excellent trigger. Its a G2 modified specifically for the 308. I have it in my 308 and with a little bit of contact surface polishing, it breaks like a thin piece of glass. No play, just a nice clean snap.
how much you spent on the trigger?
