  1. The best thing to use for secondary non chemical bond is epoxy resin. There are a couple of industry standard brands "West Systems" and "System 3". These will give you a much better mechanical bond to polyester resin based boats. You will have not much chemical bond since the poly in the boat has cured long ago. Gugeon Brothers has a great repair video online "West Systems" that will show you how to repair your boat correctly. Use a few layers of mat then go to a DBM cloth for maximum BI axial strength.

Epoxy is expensive but it is the king of the street for mechanical bond strength. The next best is vinylester for bond strength followed by ISO.

Look up those videos by West Systems . It will help a lot.

  2. This is 1867 is Bad call your representative and get them to vote it down. If we dont rid of this our civil liberties are gone! Who will want to speak against the Gov if you can be detained indefinately with out trial or charge. It basically takes away your right to free speech, right to a fair and speedy trial..... This bill is a bill of rights eliminator . Dont sit and watch them take our liberties under the guise of terrorism protection.

  3. Some one forgot to take their meds rolleyes.gif

You admit on a public forum that youare an ass hat Gee officer, I didn't mean to shoot him, I only wanted to stab him, and then you ask for leiniency? How fucking retarded are you? Why should you get special treatment, are you Simple Jack or something? You complain about police bothering you, yet you openly admit you were speeding? Do you need a speciel ED class along with the regular one? What is your beef asshole? People like you piss me off. You somehow think you are above the law when you openly admit speeding. YOU are whats the trouble in America today. Oh it's all about you. I was only going 40 above the limit officer! F. U. C. K. you and the horse you rode in on . It's time to man up for once, bitch.

  4. That would be some funny stuff.

Seven eleven Worker: How can I help you?

    Robber: Give me your money!

Seven eleven worker: WTF is That!

Robber: Sawed off Nitro 500 Express!

Guns are cheap. Its the ammo thats expensive unless you are playing with 22 LR.

One case of SS192 is worth more than a Five Seven.

Two cases of Golden Tiger was worth more than a S-308.

But for me its not the money part as much as redundance of safety. Guns and Ammo locked seperately makes it twice as hard for an intruder to kill you with your own weapons. I carry enough heat for protection on me. There is no reason to leave hot rod stuff where only one layer of security makes it available to be used against me. Last thing I want to have happen is some 16 year old shoot me cause they got into one safe found some shells on a shelf in the bedroom and took me out. Security in layers is the way for me.

To a common street criminal, the weight of ammo is not going to be worth the street price.

Remember that your 2 pound handgun that you paid $500+ for is not going to go for more than $150 on the street. If they try and sell it through conventional means, they know they will get busted if the owner reported it stolen (dang serial numbers).

You also have to keep in mind that street criminals are not avid shooters looking to stock up on range plinking ammo and will not really have any use for 500+ rounds of ammo, nor would they likely go onto a gun forum to try and get full value for it. Plus UPS is going to charge them $60 to ship two cases of ammo so it isn't really worth the hassle.

Most of the guys breaking into houses are looking for small quick payoffs (like jewelry, electronics, guns, cash & the like), often times to feed a drug habit. They don't typically want to wait for checks to clear and go to UPS to ship 60+ pound stolen property.

As a fun side-note I read in one of the gun rags that there was a case where a guy stole a big bore safari gun and cut the barrel down with a hacksaw so that he could hide it enough to rob a 7-11 with it. He got less than $200 from the 7-11 and after getting caught, the cops found out that before his unfortunate barrel modification, the gun he stole was worth $20,000.

You aren't working with America's best and brightest when it comes to petty burglary.

  5. Just make sure your on the up hill side of the dolly!021.gif

Thanks for all the info thus far. I too am in the market for a safe. I live in an upstairs apartment, so getting a heavy ass safe up 2 flights of stairs isn't something i'm forward to. Im not really concerned with a fully equipped robbery crew coming in and using a torch and grinder to rip it open, its more then punk teenagers and random roving drug attic passing though looking for a quick score. Also thanks for the info about the fire protection, that was somthing i always put a lot of focus on. Glad to hear that its Bull Sh*t unless you full on 2+ hours and such.

Use a big ass dolly itll go up fine. Plus most places who sell them will deliver for a fee, usually $100.

  6. In Wa they call it in. CCW or not.

They don't call anyone if you have a CCW permit.naaaa.gif

Wait...what? Since when? In my state a CCW permit does not allow a bypass of the NICS check. I thought this was the case everywhere.

Nope. In NC, if you have a CHL, you can walk in, sign a few papers and walk out with any handgun, rifle, or shotgun in about 10 minutes. No additional background check is done since the sheriff's office physically confiscates your CHL should you become ineligible to own/purchase a firearm. Thus, if you can produce a CHL, you are showing that LE has nothing on you preventing the purchase of a firearm.

This is allowed under the NCIS guidelines.

  7. Read the study it don't sound good. Their pictures are insult to injury.

I read an old post that the writers were concerned about high capacity mags and drums that would get the S-12 banned maybe they were right.

I really enjoy mine and I do use them for sporting purposes / skeet/ trap. I don't use them for LE or Military purposes because I am a %ucking civilian.

We will just have to agree to disagree on this one...

I know I have NO WHERE near as much invested in ammo as I do guns...

If I had the choice to steal guns or ammo, I would be concentrating on getting the guns in the getaway vehicle before I went after ANY ammo...

I also do not have room in my house for FOUR MORE safes... :( two more just to store ammo in... and one for reloading components... I still need one more to fit the rest of the guns in there...

  9. Rhino Metals make awesome affordable safe's. Their quality for the buck is second to none. I believe they wholesale thru Costco. I am very impressed with mine. 2.5 hour fire rating 1400 LBS $1700.00 out the door. They are built in Meridian ID. Made in the USA !

Has re-lockers/ Hardened Ball bearing drill plate. Door 3/8 or 5/16 plate. I personally looked at 8 name brands before I bought this one. One warning is their lower price base unit is made in China It goes by the name of "BIG Horn". Rhinos are domestically made though. Make sure you have some burly friends to get it into the house.
