What I cannot comprehend is why movies and shows never seem to acknowledge the fact that shooting without ear protection is painful!

I recently found the best place in TampaBay to shoot my saiga it is Shooting Sports of Tampa on Dale Mabry. No slugs or steel shot allowed but everything else goes. Finally I can shoot the cheap birdshot all day if I want. I just wish someone had told me about this place 2 years ago, I have wasted alot of money on ammo which is close to 1 dollar per round and now I get to store it.

I am not sure if it will grow on me but I do not like this layout at all!
Do our opinions count for anything?
Why was it changed anyway, the old format seemed just fine...

I got a good laugh on Saturday when I stopped by one of the largest local gun shops to look around. They had 1 stock Saiga 12 on the wall and I asked how much the guy said $899, I laughed and went home.

I dont know whats worse?
That song, That video or The fact that those wanna be thugs actually have an S12 to be bussin' with.

Damn that was a cool video to be honest I did not know that much about an AK cleaning kit. It was kind of a long two part video but I for one am glad you posted it, good job!

I could be wrong but it is my understanding that when you shoot at the Wyoming antelope club in Clearwater on Saturdays or any day it is considered a public range day, you must shoot long guns from the bench rest position which to me is pointless when shooting the S12. However on Thursday nights they have what they call action shotgun which I think is considered a club event and I believe they allow you to stand up and shoot. I will try and confirm this info and add to it if needed, it definitely sounds like its worth checking out.

From personal experience my opinion is that the most important piece to the puzzle is that your gun must be properly gassed. You can have your parts professionally polished and re-profiled by Pauly (OR COBRA, or others....) and spend all your money on aftermarket gas plugs, pistons, pucks springs or anything else you can find and it wont help to make your s12 reliable if it doesn't have properly drilled gas ports. My idea of a reliable s12 is to be able to feed it ANY ammo and to have it feed, fire and eject flawlessly. If you have a "vodka special" that is not properly gassed, your first step should be to fix that and then you can go from there by modifying it to suit your style.
What ammo do I have? and is it rare?

Posted
Hey Everyone hope all is well,
I just acquired a rifle which came with a wood case full of 7.62x39, all packaged in a way I have not seen before. So makes me wonder what I have here, so need some help knowing what this is exactly before I start to shoot it?
Thanks
