I would also be really interested in this carbine.

I got a chance to run mine yesterday with zero issues and very smooth feeding. Of all the saiga 12 mags I have these seem to feed the smoothest and I will be ordering more.

Csspec, I was very happy with the hardness off the steel. I had to remove almost a 1/8 of a inch off the bottom of the rear lug and although it was slow going and I was taking my time I expected that amount of fitment and would happily do it again.

I got my mags in today and all I can say is WOW! Fantastic fit and finish, built like a tank and the pictures and videos dont do them justice. Once I had them in hand I knew I was going to have to remove a lot of material from the rear lug to get it to lock up because I have a longer than average mag release lever. About twenty minutes of quality time with my favorite flat file and I had the first one locking up like a bank vault. I'll fit the other after work tonight and hope to get some rounds through them tomorrow. I have no doubt that they will run fine because the rounds are lined up perfectly with the chamber and hand cycling is flawless. All in all I believe these mags are worth every penny.

Thank you Csspecs for releasing more mags for sale! I just ordered two and will be wringing them out as soon as they come in!

And for the record the rifle came with one tapco mag and one rib back mag. The steel mag appeared to have been run over by a tank. The mag body was so dented that I had to drive the follower out to disassemble it. Once I had the follower moving free I tried to load the mag and realized the feed lips had been crushed so close together that a round wouldn't fit between them. So about five minutes of plier work had the mag running perfect. Gotta love a field fixable design.

I'll try to get some pics up after work and no crest on the stock, I actually think I like it more without the crest.

I took possession of my O Pap today and all I can say is WOW! The build quality is on par or better than my Arsenal and fit and finish is much better than expected. I can also verify that these are remanufactured military rifles due to the fact that I have remnants of the military serial number on the left side of the front trunion. All in all I'm really happy with the rifle.

Im really glad I grabbed one when I did, the supplier I went through is now sold out.

I really wish I had gotten in on this batch. I've got the weekend off and would have run a few hundred rounds through one by now!

Wow, thanks fofor the information! I'm glad my firearms sixth sense is still working the way it was when I jumped on my Mini Draco!

I wanted another wood furniture AK and love the look of the RPK receiver on the O Pap so I finally ordered one online and it should be at my ffl next week. I know that the wood is probably going to require a little work but I'm curious to know if any of you good people have hands on experience with the rifle and know of any other positives or negatives I should know about, accuracy, etc. Any information would be appreciated.

Very cool. Thanks for the quick reply.

I've been looking at the Zastava M77 .308 and was wondering if your Saiga or Veper mags will fit this platform. Thanks for any help.

I love the old style shepherd hooks fore pin retention. They can be a PITA to remove and install but they lock the pins in super tight.

I bet its the hammer spring falling off as well. My gun used to do it before I tweaked the spring a bit but only with #4 buck, the good people here diagnosed it for me.

Any new word on the test mags? I'm just about bouncing up and down for them to go into production.

Thanks for all the positive feedback! I think its forcing my friend on the other coast to get the AR version of it.

I've been getting a lot of "That's awesome! ... what is it?"
Fun with cutting wheels!

GunFun, not as much as I would have guessed. I now have easy access to my dust cover though and the venting out of the gas block isn't obstructed anymore not that it was causing issues to start with.
