They're out if the surplus euros too. Glad I stocked up when I did.

Just pulled her apart today. Mine does indeed have precut trigger and PG nut holes. It's probably safe to assume by this point that most if not all Legions are precut?
-
Sweet, looks like I have a good chance of having precut holes.
-
oh!, I think the Legions also come with a 1000m rear sight leaf instead of the 300m on a civilian. not sure if this was mentioned yet. Can anyone confirm this? I dont have a Legion Dimple Gun
Mine has the 300m leaf.

Heh, I didn't even realize I had a Legion Saiga until I read this thread. Sweet. I hope that means my trigger and grip nut holes are already cut.

If you have any hand guns or shot guns I would focus on those being your primary HD weapons. But im not knocking having a mag ready for your x39 just in case.
its just not the first weapon I would rely on when awaken suddenly in the night. IMO.
This is what I do. My 870 w/ 18.5" barrel is the first thing I'm reaching for.

Got my Bulgy mags in from AIM tonight, nice looking mags but they look like they are painted sorta like the Saiga with a textured paint.
Mind throwing up some pics? I'd like to see what the finish looks like.

Cope's now has Ulyanovsk, Brown Bear and Golden Tiger in stock for $99.99/500rds which ends up being around $0.216 per round shipped. Not the absolute cheapest, but I'm willing to pay a little more to buy from a place that doesn't require the ID garbage.

You could just rivet it in.

I've got 2, and have another 3 on the way. Feed great, lock great, minimal wobble...not much to complain about. Seem plenty sturdy to me.
Anyone have any experience with the Euros they sell, though? Much of a difference?
-
That would actually be closer to $0.18 a round.

5.45x39 compared to the 223 or x39?
in Saiga 5.45

It was pretty much Russia's answer to the 5.56. It's basically the 7.62 case shrunk to accept a 5.45 bullet. Long story short, it lacks the punch of the 7.62 but has better accuracy and a flatter trajectory. Some even think it has better ballistics than the 5.56, which is debatable. Just google it. There are countless threads on it.
Or you could just look 4 threads down...
