I've been paying FICA for most of the last 27 years, and maybe somebody even owes me something. Possibly my kids do. But some other guy's kids and grandkids sure as fuck don't owe me, him, or anybody else a living. What I do know, is that the so-called "system" was never set up with the intention of paying out much in the end... In the 1930s when they passed the law hardly anybody lived that long. It was a grab for money, plain and simple. And now that people ARE living that long in large numbers, the money simply isn't there, and can't be there at any level of taxation that won't destroy the economy entirely. It doesn't matter what else is cut; the math simply doesn't add up.
If the generation of "machinist"and the two generations previous had really been serious about the "system" having any chance of working at all, they would have had a whole lot more of us. But they didn't. That die was cast decades ago and it's only a matter of when, not if, the whole thing comes crashing down. Anybody who thinks otherwise might as well try to stuff shit back into a cat.
For my part, I fully expect to work pretty much until the day that I die. Like my mom did, and then my dad did. I just hope my kids can be free of so-called "social security".
I worked two jobs (10 years of my life) when I was a young man putting the extra money away to provide my three children an opportunity for a college education. I'm very proud of the fact my children will have a better lifestyle than my wife and I lived. We choose to sacrifice to allow them a chance to have a piece of the American dream. My wife and myself will live just fine with the additional money in the bank and the other investments we made after my children were on their own.
So I take you discription of me as a parasite with a grain of salt. When you have made the world a better place by sending great kids into our great nation you can judge yourself of your contribution to our country.
I hope you are blessed with a long and healthy life. I know if you were disabled, you would not become a parasitic drain using the "system" to supplement your lack of income?

Social Security is a tax, not a benefit. Like the ACC, if the government wants something it just calls it a tax and can use the funds as they see fit. Every American that wants to should be able to opt out of SS at this point. Those that wish to hold onto that broken system will have no one to blame but themselves once it crashes like every ponzi scheme does
I fully agree with you accessment of SS. I would choose to manage my finances, not the feds. I wasn't given an option in my lifetime. I hope an option is available to future generations.

The Supreme Court ruled back in the 1920s that a government run retirement system is unconstitutional, which is why there IS NO "social security trust fund" and there never has been, and why FICA has always gone straight to the general fund.

IIRC neither.
I think I saw a factory tour a couple months back in which DDI the guy had some CNC mills making trunnions. He said something about the reject rate on surplus ones messing up delivery schedules and screwing up the bottom line. Basically it was cheaper to mill them from bar stock to higher spec than deal with rejects and having to sort several different standards to fit parts. Even theoretically identical national kits had variances which meant fitting and modification for assembly, which is expensive.
Forgings starts life out as bar stock. The forge process is either cold or warm forged metal. Basically the forge press smashes the metal to tighten the micro grain stucture of the metal, final machining will be required on bar stock or forged parts. Bar stock or forgings with the correct alloy (metalergy chemistry) along with proper heat-treatment will be a good choice over cast metal. I think most folks would surprised how many parts are cast metal in the AR-15/10 rifles.

Goldman Sachs has their donations in everyone's pocket.be it Cruz or hildebeast. How about looking at how politician's vote as a prediction as to what they will do in the future? Cruz is a solid conservative who has a record that causes the Republican Party to even hate his guts. Don't give a crap about who his wife is or who she is employed by. All I care about is his voting record.
For those who think Trump is conservative or will do any of the things he talks about doing, you are as dumb as the day is long. You would vote for a guy that says I am for this or against that without ever giving specifics on how he would accomplish his agenda. A guy who has supported Obamacare and contributed money to Hillary Clinton. Trump or Clinton.. Either way this country is done.
If anyone thinks the money that is paid into a super Pac will not affect future voting of that person is an absolute fool. Cruz doesn't have a single repub senate endorsement, doesn't speak to his abilities to even work through issues within the repub party. I guess we all have our own opinions about the future of this country. In-fighting will not contribute to the re-growth of the great USA!

My ProMag 12-rounder has been flawless every time! You need to use the right ammo, some shells are longer than others and some are shorter. Mine works PERFECT with the 2.25 inch Suprema OOBUCK that I get at Wally World! 2.75 inch shells will NOT fit in the ProMag 12-round drum!

What? 2.75 inch shells will not fit? Is that a typo? 2.75 inch shells run great in the 10 or 12 round drums and ergonomics of the smaller drum is very useful in any situation, not just a range toy. The small drum is Pro-Mags best product!

Some LEOs passing the vetting process amaze me. Why some LEOs protect the "Thin Blue Line" (IE Illinois for over a year). Speaks volumes about why we shouldn't follow directives not backed by laws of the land. Respect is a mutual exchange of human decency. Just my opinion.

If you have the RWC conversion, they use the Tapco G2 trigger and trigger guard. RWC uses CAA butt stock and forearm with a vertical grip attached to forearm. Does this describe your gun? Not sure what Century work done on their guns...

All the points/concerns raised in the forum are valid to the future of the nation. I don't require Mitt telling me what to do or what direction we need to vote. Trump hits a note with people bringing our voters out in record numbers. Good or bad this is drawing people into the election process, this in my opinion is a good time for people to look at what we need to build a great nation! Establishment is scare shit-less, too bad they are not scared straight...
