  2. Unfortunately, we have become Rome in her final days.  The Law of Averages has come into play.  All you have to do is watch a Jimmie Kimmel "Man on the Street" or listen to a Glenn beck "More-on Trivia".  People can't tell you who the vice president is, but can tell you the last time Kim Kardashian shook her ass.  They can tell you who won Survivor, but not who won WW2.  Bread and circuses are the order of the day.  The takers officially outnumber the makers.  The morale of the once mighty "legions" has been torn asunder.  Right is wrong and wrong is right.  Up is down, and down is up.  If you have ever wondered what it's like when a Republic dies, look around you.  Ours is on life support.  It's only a matter of time before the Visigoths arrive.

  3. Here's another option.  Rent to own.  A coworker was in the same boat you are, and knew someone looking to buy their first home.  They talked to the mortgage company, and the deal was if the "renter" could make the payments for 12 months on time, then they'd roll the mortgage into the "renter's" name.  He did have to pay the lawyer fees for drawing/filing the contract.  A year later, win-win for both of them.

If any demonstrator ever lays down in front of my car, it'll be the last car he'll ever lay down in front of.

    some things never change.

Years ago I was driving a Chevy work van through the hood and had a bunch of hood rats lining up to block the street and stop me. Without a second thought I put my foot to the floor and flew right at them.

    They moved.    haha.gif

LOL.....300lb thug vs 3T 4x4=one big mess to hose off my truck.

When I took orientation for the trucking company I used to drive for, they told us specifically don't be the next Reginald Denny.  You get stuck in a riot, lay on the air horns and hammer down.

  5. I was talking to a cowerker who is a retired Marine and part-time LEO.  He said take a close look at Ferguson, starting with the split-screen Obama speech.  The entire thing was planned months ago.  The verdict was the trigger, and Obama gave the word go.  He said look real close when Obama said violence was not the answer.  That's when the crowd went ape.

He also said it isn't limited to Ferguson, but we have a relatively small black pop here, so they would definitely have to bus in protestors here.  Trick is, too many vets call this place home, and would turn Ferguson into Wounded Knee real fast.

  6. I have never seen a forum thread grow so fast as the Ferguson thread over on arfcom.

Ferguson declared a NFZ. Live helicopter feed, lots of shit on fire.

One blogger who had a feed going with thousands of watchers had his shit stolen live on camera.

Should check the one on AK Files.  It ballooned the last 2 hours.

  7. I just polished the edge of the ramp to take off any sharp edges in the course of other polishing I did to the contact points in the rifle.

    Aint hard or touchy.

I can say people have reported problems with some SP rounds not feeding well that was tracked to the edge on the ramp and knocking that off did the trick.

The Century RPKs do this with SP and HP ammo.  I polished the feed ramp and a mild chamber job(ala the SKS 4 to 8 mod).  My Saiga already had a feed ramp/chamber job from the factory, so it digests anything I feed it.

  8. I have thought of knocking the bipod off of my AES-10B and fitting one of my spare Bulgy 74 stocks to the rear.

Shooting with the bipod is fun, but the POI change with bipod and without is huge. Makes matching an optic to the rifle a PITA and practically useless, especially since it's the most accurate 7.62x39 rifle I own.

Personally I would also pull out the cleaning rod and see if it makes a difference. Probably not.

On my SGL, the groups do tighten up just a touch without the rod installed.  It was so miniscule I just put the rod back on it and rocked on.

Now you really got my gears going.  I'm hopefully picking up a bipod-less/handle-less AES-10B this weekend.  If the 10B comes in as good/better, then I know where to get another stock.big_smile.gif

  9. LONE EAGLE,

THAT'S PRETTY GOOD FOR  100YDS RAPID FIRE WITH IRONS AND RUSSIAN AMMO.

      DEFINATELY MINUTE-OF-EBOL'R!

LIKE TO SEE WHAT YOU GET WITH GLASS.

Yes, I was actually impressed myself.  Recoil was minimal, and follow-up shots were quick.  I forgot to add, the buttplate is spring-loaded just like a PSL stock, and only moved 1/8" at the most(it has almost 3/8" full travel).  I found a couple of small rub marks where it had moved.  The guys shooting next to me saw the overlapping hits, and were impressed.  Next trip, I'll be sure to crank the front post the right way.  haha.gif

  10. Well, a little update is in order.  I took it out last weekend, and attempted to finish sighting the scope in.  Yep.....kid's Stevens 200 in .308 killed the Centerpoint.  I had elevation adjustment, but windage knob was limp.  Also, the illumination wasn't lighting the entire crosshair anymore.  Ripped it off, and did the typical "crank the front post the wrong way" zero.  I finally got frustrated, and did a couple of 100yd mag dumps.  This was off the rest, 100yds, irons, practically bump firing, center hold, Tulammo 123gr FMJ.

I have another scope on the way, and will give it another go.

Jess, thanks for the suggestion.  I noticed my rod had rotated from the vibration.  I will try that next trip.

  11. Helpful advice: This site goes great with late nights and liquor!

     Word.

That M92 would be better with a CNC Warrior 4-pc flash hider.  I have one(until next weekend, when I trade it for an AES-10B), and it was a fun little range toy.  If it was stamped and had a stock, then it would be OK.  I shot one with the cheesy "fake can" and stock, but still wasn't my cup o' tea.  If you like the fireballs, grab some Arsenal brass cased.  That stuff felt like it was loaded +P+.

And please tell us that's not a Promag drum?
