[I think I bought a bad mag]

Thanks for the info.. I just wanted to make sure the mag was malfunctioning and not my brain.

 

 

 

Fact of the matter is, the problem you are having with that 10 rd stick is common. It was a crappy design error. They didn't do a great job designing those particular mags (like many of their past mags for other guns, no doubt), but they have since made improvements, and it does carry a lifetime warranty, so just send it back or ask the dealer to let you trade it in and let him do the warranty dance.

 

For what it's worth, I have some factory Saiga shotgun mags that have the same issue.

I just bought my first 10 round mag for my Saiga 12....

 

I am pretty smart so I did not inspect it or anything when picked it out of the bin.... anyway... the magazine follower does not stop short of the top of the magazine like my 5 rounder does.... It goes all the way to the top of the magazine and my bolt actually bumps into it and sticks open when there are no rounds left..... I looked up stock pictures of a promag 10 round mag and the follower is definitely in the wrong spot on mine...

 

 

Any way to fix this or did I just get a bum mag?

 

Place I bought it from will probably swap it out but if not oh well... $25 for a lesson learned
