[Installed the CSS puck. Seems like its a tight fit.]

I received a CSS PERFORMANCE PUCK, but unfortunately it will not go fully into the gas tube of my Saiga12 as well. I've sent an email to Carolina Shooters Supply to see why this is.

 

I agree the original is very loose and probably allows a lot of gas to escape, but this CSS Puck is way too tight and can not be used.

 

The hassle, time and money to send it back for a refund is not worth it. It will probably be a small paper weight on my desk, a true conversation starter that's for sure.

 

After some diligent cleaning of the area where the puck resides, the CSS puck fits very nicely and snug. The use of low brass is noticeable that it works much better than with the factory puck. On high brass 00/000 buck or slugs it work just as well.

I have the MD Arms adjustable Gas Plug on my Saiga12 and it works very nicely. My Saiga12 does have four gas port openings. When cleaning the gun I use a dental pick to make sure all four gas port openings are free and clear.
