  1. I'm guessing by looking at that pic that its a tri rail forend and some kinda rail mounted shell holder. Only one I have found that holds 2 shells like that is the forward shell holder by sidearmor. Search amazon and you'll find it. At 60 bucks it isn't cheap tho.

I know man I found one on amazon but idk if I want to spend that much on it. Thanks for the help.

About to remove the cheap gun show impulse buy rail. i put alot of time into stippling the original arsenal handguard, and i liked it. am no longer running this optic so i dont want the weight. Notice my rigged single point sling mount</p></blockquote>

How well did that scope hold up on ur AK?

  3. Had one on my SKS years back on a "scout mount"(replaced the rear sight leaf). 50 rounds and cracked the glass. I've had good luck with UTG and BSA on the low end of the price spectrum. For a good midrange optic, go Millett, Primary Arms, or Vector Optics.

I've seen UGT on amazon. Ill check them out

  4. Nice rifle mslick1, any problems with it in SD? San Diego is my hometown and eventually will be moving back, not sure if I should bring my Saiga along, being California.

Well CA has stupid gun laws as we all know! As long as you have a bullet button and no more than 10 round mags you should be fine. My buddy from work mentioned to me a new law that makes the bullet button illegal and we would have to give up our AK's. Bullshit!!!

Cant remember what new law this is but its to be taking effect next July, if it passes.

SB294, is the one you are refering to. Stop listening to "your buddy" and get involved! First and formost, an AK does not have a "bullet button"(in CA) and the atempted law is not for "bullet buttons" , but the already unlawful "mag magnet"(in CA), that eliminates the "mag release" function of a mag lock. Read the laws wording, educate yourself instead of relying on "your buddy"!

Also we are not yet in law of this crap. Senator Yee is already backpedaling on his reasons after being pushed hard from those that love guns in CA!

Back to your regularly scheduled program!

Maybe Im not as knowledgeable as you but calm down with your sarcasm. Quit being an asshole about it trying to put me on blast. And maybe I didnt have my info correct but If your going to be posting shit like that just dont bother and keep it to yourself. Kick rocks!

Nothing fancy or out of the ordinary but I sure love how it looks!

And yes I know it sucks cuz I live in Cali and can only have 10 round mags =/

    Saiga AK(7.62)

    Tapco G2 trigger

    Hogue grip

    Magpul MOE stock

    Vltor stock adapter tube

Tapco mag, handguard and vertical grip

    CA Bullet Button from ebay

Next will be a buzzle brake....

  7. I only need a stock adapter for my converted 7.62 saiga. I installed the trigger group myself and already have a MOE mil spec stock. Only need a stock adapter tube. They have a few options on CSS but don't know which one is going to be better for me. I was also told I could bet an internal receiver block. What to do? What to do?

  8. Just converted my saiga 7.62x39. Installed tapco g2 trigger group and hogue grip. Now i only need a stock and adapter. I am getting a magpul moe stock and now I'm debating in between buying a polymer tube or pay a little more for aluminum. I have checked onlineand Its like a $30-40 difference if I want to go with an aluminum tube rather than polymer. What is your opinion? Save some money and buy polymer? Or is it best to save up and go with aluminum?

  9. I just checked one of places that has the best prices on Magpul gear, in my experience. I'm seeing about a $20 difference in price between the CTR and MOE. I could stomach that easier than the $40 difference it used to be, if the friction lock and QD sling mounts were important to me.

What am I talking about? I dropped $200 on a UBR a couple years ago, lol.

$20 isn't that much of a difference so it might be worth to get a CTR

  10. MSlick it is actually a GPS (Grip Pod System) not a Battlegrip. I was wrong about the manufacturer. My friend actually gave me the vertical grip so I'm not sure what he paid for it.

I have a friend that has a nice grip pod like yours(don't know the brand). I know they can be pricy so I can't really afford the military quality ones. I'll shop around for one though. Thanks Kane

  11. Added a Battlegrip Bipod. Still gotta get the muzzle threaded for attachments, a mag coupler, an extended mag release, and a few other odds & ends. I'm about finished with this project. Time for the next one!!! Thinking about doing an AR build.

Looks good. How much did you spend on the grip pod?

  12. I am purchasing parts Online for my saiga 7.62x39 conversion. I really want a Magpul collapsible stock in the commercial spec model. Now tHat being said, should I start off with the MOE stock or spend more and get either the CTR or maybe even STR?

What do you think? Is there a significant difference between them that sets them far apart? STR having the advantage for storage option of course.
