I am new to Saiga conversions and anything gunsmithing related in general. I am in the process of converting a 7.62x39 model and last night I started the process of the bullet guide. I lined everything up right and had a perfect center punch right where I needed to drill. I thought everything went fine...until I put my bullet guide back to check where the hole had been placed. There must have been some movement because my hole is not centered where it should be. I am past the point of no return and would like to know what options I have. So that is the damage done. I thou

I am doing an almost complete conversion for an AK-103 clone, and I'm wondering what the best way to remove the retaining pins from FSB and GB. My saiga is about 8 years old from when I purchased it...so there is no dimples, strictly retaining pins. I've had a go with the vice and punches, but I feel like a press is almost a must to remove those suckers. Any advice?

Why dont you go with a solution such as this http://www.k-var.com/shop/product.php?productid=16563&cat=290&page=1 instead of having the FSB welded to the GB...
