  1. How long did you have to wait on the list?

My M85NP has a polymer AR15 mag adapter...I wished that DA would offer that mag adapter in other AKs.  They keep on saying they will, but it's been a couple of years and I still do not believe that they offer it other than the Saiga 223.

  2. I'm not a fan of black since it glows under NV. I normally refinish my firearms with a thermal cured finish, but I was unable to remove the polymer AR15 mag adapter. I didn't want to risk melting the mag adapter, so I bought some Aervoe paint. It's much better than Krylon by a mile.

I'm still debating if I'm going to paint my T1 or just got a TD cover for the T1.

I liked the two colored camo, but added the green element since I live in PA.  I felt I needed the green for my AO.

It's going to take some time to air cure since the brace is rubber and that makes the paint tacky.

My PAP M85NP has been my go to pistol since I am able to shoot it with stock folded or unfolded. I like the size and the fact that the pistol uses AR15 mags.

I've only shot the M85NP to 100 yards and I plan on taking it past 200 yards once the paint dries.

  3. I just picked up this scope on Monday (02/27) and I decided to sell all of my AK74 items, so this has got to go.

The scope is 3.5x and is calibrated for AK74 (5.45x39) ammo. It has a range finding reticle along with hold over out to 1,000 meters. It's also illuminated and uses (1) CR123A battery. The optic is very bright and clear and you will not have any issues with keeping both eyes open while shooting. I am very impressed with this optic for clarity and built like a tank.

I would like to get $420 and I'll even throw in (10) extra CR123 batteries, so you have a good stock of batteries for the illuminated reticle. It will come with the camo bag along with instructions (in Russian).

  4. AR500 is where it's at...whoever said it's a waste of money is full of crap...shoot 338LM and tell me that AR500 is a waste of money. I have a 100% IPSC target from MGM and it's awesome...we were shooting at it with FAL, ARs and SK74 and it didn't do anything to the steel.

  5. Tapco actually work for me...even though I typically dislike anything Tapco. I just ordered a few mags from RRC...these mags are getting expensive, which is ironic since the ammo and rifles are inexpensive. I just know that shipping has been killing me on all of these orders.

  6. Guy on ARF posted this link below...giving credit where credit is due. Just saw a video about the new SSAK stock that is going to be available by the end of the year. Best part is MSRP for the AK stock is $289, which is less than the AR-15 version.

The info about the improved SSAR-15 is the third video and they talk about the AK stock as well.

    large bolt knob

    Trades that interest me

Ak74 in 5.45...really want a krinkov, so if you have one I'll trade you and throw cash on my end. Arsenals...if it's a lower quality AK74...I'll take the rifle along with mags/ammo or cash on your end.

    Saiga 308 16" variant...preferred nonconverted.

DPMS AR10 platform...hoping/wishing for 260 Remington, but 308 would be fine as well.

If you just want to purchase...I'm looking for $1,000 for rifle and rings.

  8. For those that have the Saiga 7.62x39 with folding stock, would you please measure your OAL of the rifle when it's folded. I'm trying to figure out what size case I would need to purchase once I do the conversion. I'd like to know specifically the OAL for ACE, Tromix, DPH, Magpul CTR/MOE stocks...especially the Magpul CTR/MOE stock since I already have these stocks.

Appreciate any help you can provide to me.

  9. I have a 16" Saiga 308 that has never been fired. I took this in on a trade a few weeks ago. I was going to convert it, but I'm now selling it to fund another project.

Comes with 8rd mag and a Sure Fire 25rd mag as well. I do not have the original box or manual.

$475 shipped...I will give preference to a PA resident. If I must ship out of state, please make sure your FFL will receive from a non FFL.

Just noticed that my Subject line has a 6 instead of an 8. Guess that is what happens when you type in a dark room.

  10. KT shows 6,000 rounds in their FAQ section. I've owned a few KT...they are ok, but I hear the RFB is the cat's meow. I have one on order for $1300...to me that's a lot of coin for anything with a KT label. I hear someone paying $3k+ on GB, which is nuts. I'll give one a try at $1,300. RFB owners seem to love them and they are the only game in town for a 308 bullpup.

  11. Not to rain on anyones parade, as one can certainly do whatever they like, but I've wondered about why someone would do a tan or desert camo pattern on their S12 if they don't live in a desert area. Arizona, New Mexico, etc. yeah I can understand. But for instance in Ga. where I am? Do you know how much a tan S12 would stick out in the terrain around here.

Try looking at a black firearm with NV and you will understand why folks choose other colors.

Go FDE all the way. It is my favorite color for my firearms. Once I get some time, I will be using KG on my S17.

  12. Stay away from Streamlight. The wife shot out a Streamlight Scorpion with her S-.410 in only about 50 rounds or so.

With all due respect...the Scorpion is not a tactical light, so if you think it would handle the recoil of a shotgun you were wrong. The Scorpion LED should be fine, but the incad Scorpion I would not recommend.

There are plenty of weapon light options available to folks, but I'd recommend going LED. I find Fenix, Inova and Olight offer some good lights at affordable prices. I work for Streamlight, so don't think that I"m bashing on our competitors. I especially like the Olight and Fenix. Granted I do not own other tactical lights, since I get such great prices on SL.

With regards to various company claims of lumen ratings...I always find that companies advertise higher lumens than real lumens. What I look for is the light IPX7/8 rated and what is the runtime of the light. From the SL offerings, I like the Super Tac...IMO, it's ugly as sin (looks like a dinner bell) but it's very bright and it will go past 200 yards. I also like the run time as well on two CR123A batteries. I like that we offer a proprietary mount for the Super Tac/TL lights. It is a very solid mount for carbines and shotguns.

  13. Zach,

Is the anodizing a Type II or Type III? I understand it's a tough time to get into business...that being said, I just don't understand how an SBS rail will cost more than a standard rail. There is more material being used in a full sized S12 compared to an SBS rail.

I work for a large flashlight company and I know that our company does not charge more for a small flashlight compared to a full sized light.

Since you are the only game in town, I will try a Hellion. I had Tony add the rail to my S17, but the bottom rail moves since there is just one screw holding the rail. I dislike knowing that my FVG moves around...and I haven't even fired the S17 yet. I can only image the movement that will occur during firing.

  14. So no "love" for the Hellion for a price break?

What's up with the lower prices on full sized rails, but for those who own SBS models...we pay regular prices. I guess you guys figured that if we can afford the $200 stamp that we are cash cows. LOL

Well, since Chaos does not offer an SBS rail, that I will be getting a Hellion.
