54r psl's are out of production iirc. The shipment of mags and parts that came in spring 2013 were rumored to be the last of it. The new psl is in 308. I'd say what would it hurt for you to pick one up. I want a vepr in 54 as well as I'm just too poor to play the svd game.

from everything I have read over the years, the Century Yugos have always been great.. I believe they contracted the building out to Two Rivers Arms, who are pretty well known for their Yugo builds.

Only a small number of them. 200 if memory serves. Iirc century went another direction. I searched high and low trying to get my hands on one. To no avail might I add.

I have. However my OCD won't let me unless I figure out how to fully heat treat it. Bending and welding is the easy part if I had a way to fully heat treat.

Looks like a receiver is going to be an issue for this one. I spoke to Harlan at nds they don't have any plans to make anymore m72 receivers. The m70 fixed will work but I really don't want a hole in the receiver for the top cover lock when one doesn't belong in the m72.

My company literally abandoned billions of dollars in assets and property thanks to ISIS. If they keep pouring through Iraq so unchallenged we are going to see a rise in fuel prices. I can guarantee that. Granted we here in the us don't buy much from Iraq but if the situation continues to get out of hand and oil companies like mine have to walk away from such major investments they will have to charge more for what they extract. Not to mention there is OPEC who will raise prices on a whim let alone a serious geopolitical threat. I say I'm glad the Iraqis got themselves some planes, I just hope they don't decide to use them to fly away from the problem.

I ask the same question about the md arms quad stack they were leaking pictures of. Vaporware until proven otherwise. My guess is many of these companies counted their chickens before they hatched.

Wow I love the relief to make the ultimak work with the grip. When I first looked at it I thought it was multicolored. Over all a great looking rifle.

I'd go with the m70 personally. I find them to be more pleasing aesthetically and as functional as any other quality ak. You do give up a chrome lined barrel but gain a real military (as real as you can get) piece. The m&m are nice and all but to me they are just better finished wasr's with a shorter sight radius. I know the magwells are professionally done and they are quality controlled they just don't strike my fancy as much. Either way let us know what you decide.

Also have two m72 kits and 3 original barrels to choose from.

 

Eta: as of this evening I have a headspaced and partially populated barrel. I'm just waiting on a new sling mount before I continue. The original was pretty bent up.
