had my saiga 308 for 3 years and finally got around to shooting it last weekend, still unconverted, thought i could live with the trigger(not),it shot pretty well except after about 20 rounds the tin cover came flying off ,i latched it on good and it did it several more times.it fits kind of lose just wondering if anyone had a similar problem .i thought i would buy a buffer and i ordered a texas weapons system cover for it, will convert it in a couple of weeks

Cut the finger off a Tapco G2. You can then insert it without conversion. needlenose pliers to remove the retainer spring, pop the trigger/hammer pins and replace the parts/reverse. It improves the tirgger real well. ergonomics are still a bit better witht he full conversion but hey, a better trigger is still nice.
thanks for the info ,i will check old threads for some detailed pictures

first long gun? well, 223 or x39 then.
do you hunt? or how much are you into guns? handgun guy? the 308 is quite a weapon.
You will want one of each. for the price of one of your Sigs, you can have all three, or close enough.
BUY A SAIGA12, by the way. trust me, you wont sell it, and if you do, you obivously have another one to take it's place.
once you buy one you cant stopppppppp, its a addiction!my advice buy them all
