Hey fellas, I am helping my brother install a bullet guide in his Saiga .223 so that he can use Bulgarian Mags. We haven't installed the bullet guide yet, but just by looking at it how things would work, it appears that the guide is gonna be too low to effectively guide the rounds into the chamber. Got the guide from dinzag arms.
It is the rounded trunion.
Anyone have issues with Bulgarian mags after installing a bullet guide like this?
Thanks!

I have rifles in .223/5.56 so this caliber makes sense for me, but for people out there with AK-74 clones, they surely have plenty of 5.45 or buy it anyways...
I was just wondering, but it seems that I have some good answers that possibly answer the question.
Thanks.

I would get it in .223 if it's gonna be a home defense weapon or if you want better longer range accuracy (much less bullet drop).
7.62x39 if it's just a range toy (cheaper ammo).

Anyone have the inside scoop?

It's not a total loss...

whats the point pump 7+1 i have a 300$ mossberg that does the same thing no stupid clip in the bottom either i know it was already said but magfed shotgun does no good if you cant shorten in because of the pump
Well, you can reload much faster, but you can't top off quite as good.

Looks great, probably not any better than a Saiga 12 though...

Between the two I would choose RRA.

I've heard mixed reviews on them. I'd like to get my hands on one.

That sucks man, sorry. Hope things turn out well for you.

Oldie but goodie!

My primary concealed firearm is a Glock 27. Sometimes I will carry a Makarov or a P32 depending on the weather, etc...

I'd get the CZ-82. You can find 9x18 easily online. Just order it in bulk.

They both have decent reputations. RRA is a little better, but their .308 isn't out yet...

I haven't had a hard time finding 7.62x39...
