I spoke to Phil today. They have delayed a few days to make sure everything is right. They should start trickling in mid next week and then start flowing pretty steadily after that.

They are coming, they just want to make sure everything is right. only a few will be available next week and then they should starting shipping 500 at a time until all the Distributor orders are filled. There will be enogh for everyone. Just may take a few weeks to get caught up. I still do not understand why they are selling AGP's for those crackhead prices when these are days away.

  2. I was wonderin' if anyone had their saiga's internals plated with Np3 by Robar.

I'm thinkin' about sendin' my saiga out and havin' the bolt carrier, bolt, and all the other goodies plated

    after I get it converted.

I have had fantastic luck with mine. Many, many rounds and no wear. I did the bolt, carrier and piston. Wipes down easy.

    Probably 4-6 weeks turn around.

Thanks for the 411. Did you have the mentioned parts smoothed and polished for reliability?

Or was there no need for that mod because of the teflon? Also, have you had any firearms coated

    with Roguard? Thanks.

Tromix did the conversion so I think Tony pretty much took care of the reliablity. I had an STI Edge with the roguard that I recently sold. It did NOT wear as well as the NP3. There is a black diamond coating that someone is doing and I have heard it is incredible. No actual experience with it.

  5. I just thought I'd share what I've found in terms of the 12rd. mags...

Carolina Shooter Supply has them for $48. It's $10 to ship 4 mags. This is at least $10 cheaper (shipped) than any other place I've seen.

Please share if you do find a better deal.

    Thanks!

How well does them 12 round surfire mags work? They say there better than agp mags. Anyone use them? I may put in a order..

They aren't out yet. But I asked the same question. The responses I got lead me to believe they'll be flawless. I figure I'll wait until the first reviews on here and then buy 3 or 4 of them.

I just got off the phone with the dealer of them mags, they sound to be a great product and of higher quality. I may get one to try.

I should know more by the end of the week. I hope to have the 12 round magazines listed for sale on our website by this weekend. I will test them out before shipping. If they are anything like the other Surefire mags we sell, it will be an excellent product. All of their magazine springs have a wax coating to protect against rust. They also have horizontal lines on the mag so you can remove the floor plate, cut below the next line and replace the floor plate to make a shorter mag if desired. They are an extremely durable product. We will also have their 10 rd mags available as soon as available.

  6. Here is a pic of the new 15rd mag. I finally had a chance to test fire them today. I shot all the 3" ammo I had available. Winchester slugs and 000 buck shot, Remington #4,#6 #7.5 and #9. Federal #7.5. I fired approx. 200 rds through 2 mags and not one malfunction. This mag cycles really fast and smooth. Phil from Surefire states that it will works great with WOLF and SilverBear. I will be getting some other steel case for a test next week. I think he has done a fantastic job on the changes for this design and well worth the $46.95. It fits more snug than the other mag as well. My 410 is 100% stock with no mods yet.(needs to be cleaned)

  8. I have used the 20 rd Surefire mags for a year. All 10 of my personal mags worked 100% loaded to full capacity everytime. I just started selling the 25rd mags and plan on testing them this week. I will have 20 round Surefire's in stock again later this week.

  9. I just went to MAA's website and checked out their add for the 15 round mags. It says that they WILL NOT work with 3" steel cases!!!! What gives?

Surefire is finishing the final testing. We will know Monday if it works with steel cases. It easier to use plastic hull ammo from Walmart and not worry about using the steel that may or may not work in any 10 or 15 round mag. We will have the 15 rounders available this week and will let you know how they work.

  10. Dumb question

I'm new here and have yet to get my hands on my new Saiga 410 [ I have a bid in] Are you guys saying the surefire mags do not work well ? I will be useing American Ammo only. The one I bid on comes with a ten. I was going to order another ten or a 15.

    Thanks

I have found the Surefire's work flawless with plastic hull ammo. It does not like the steel hull junk. My AR's do not like the old Wolf ammo- Doesn't mean I am going to blame my magazine for it. I just don't use junk 223 ammo. The 15rd mags will be in next week and I will not care if they do or do not shoot steel case ammo. I am sure they will work perfect with what I can buy at Walmart.

  11. I believe AGP stated that the clear plastic is less durable than the black plastic.

I abuse mine pretty good during competition and have never had a problem with durability. They usually get dropped kicked and stepped on, the only thing I am watching are the targets. I have sold 500 of them and have not heard of one single crack, chip or break. FWIW

    Greg

  12. How are the gen II AGP Clear plastic magazines? What is the difference between gen I and type II? Are the gen 1s ok?

Clear AGP's are just as/ if not more reliable than the black for feeding shells. Gen 2 has a different follower that feeds better. Some paople had some problems with gen 1's feeding, some did not. Most of the competition guys use the clear so you can easily see which mag/shells you are grabbing.

  13. I just converted mine today. With a dremel, drill, hack saw, and a file it went together in about 3 hours of tinkering. If you use the Tromix DIY trigger guard all you have to do is demil, then you're putting the TG and the stock on, no cutting into the receiver. Figuring out how to put the bolt hold open spring back in took the longest, now I'm ready to test fire tomorrow.

    YOU CAN DO IT!
