  1. Some of you already know this, but for those who do not I asked RAA about shipment info and this is the response they sent back.

    Hi Greg,

Thank you for your interest in our products. The next shipment with 12 gauges on it will be here in June. The supply will get better as we get into the summer. The factory has been retooling so production is behind.. All of my larger distributors will be getting 12 gauges. RSR Group, Bangers, Ellett Brothers, Zanders, Bill Hickes, Interstate Arms, Lew Horton, L M Burney, to name a few. Each will receive at least 80 or more out of this first shipment.

Does not appear that there will be thousands coming in on the first shipment, especially if the distributors are only getting 80 or so. Good news for anybody that has them on back order from Centerfire if your number is less than 80. I hope this helps anyone trying to decide to wait it out or buy now.

  2. And what is this thread supposed to be about, future market price increase?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Gotta do a little research to see how much folks can be gouged?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

A little cynical eh? I would like to round out my Saiga collection. I recently bought a .223 and a 7.62 and am well pleased with the performance of both and I dont yet own a tactical shotgun and believe the 19" saiga 12 would serve that purpose well. I simply want to know what people think is a fair price for one. I have looked online and localy for over a month with out finding one. They come up on gunbroker and I am curious at what price people think they are a good buy, a fair deal, pricey but what one needs to pay to play right now and when they become a total a rip off.

I suppose I am curious to future market prices. Should I wait and think they will be less? The impression I have been getting from everyone is that they will be more expensive when they come in (it seems all guns are goin up right now) and they will sell quickly.

I do not think anyone knows for sure when the next batch will be available or how much they will cost. A fair price is whatever you are comfortable paying. As long as you enjoy it and have fun, it doesn't matter what it cost, at least you will have one. We can say how much that we will never pay for something and then have to pay more than that later if we really want it. $700-$800 may be a steal of a deal this time next year.

  3. I would be shocked if they will sell thiers for $399. I think they will be in the $500 range. Distributors watch the market the same as we do. The average price on GB now is $750 to $830 for a stock one. A month ago they were a few hundred less. The longer it takes for them to come into the country, the more the price will increase. Just because some of us have paid much less in the past and are not willing to pay more, there are whole lot more that did not get them and are willing to pay even more because their local gun store can not get them.

  4. If only I had an MD-20 drum there would be no reload at all.

My club has a 10 shot max rounds in tube or mags in open division. I am not sure if that is a local or national rule. 20 rd drums would not help at all here for the matches. I shot my first one last month and it showed me that I need to practice the reload on the move more. The magwell's will be a big help once they are available. I do like to see stages with high round counts for team saiga.

  5. You gotta remeber, all it take is ONE idiot, two at the most, to hike prices up. One if the seller has a buddy bumping him up. You never know, it might be a mock auction to drive retail prices up.

You have to remember how cable TV, Barrett-Jackson and ebay ruined the musclecar market the same way.

I came late to the party and had to pay more to get in. Bought my Saiga 12 cz-109 on Gunbroker last week for $650 + shipping "buy now". The other nib cz-109 was at $610 and had 8 people bidding on it. It eventually went for $670+. Guess those eight are still fighting over the few that are around right now. I went out and shot mine for the first time today and had a blast! Worth every penny ;)

$650 might be a great deal in the months ahead. As long as as you had a great time with it, it was worth more than you paid. The point I was trying to make is that an internet gun shop tells you they are out of stock on thier own store, but they are selling it across the street to make a few extra bucks. Not the way I do business. If you advertise at one price, you sell it at that price.

  6. I received my s12 from Tony Last week. I had him do the Short Throw/Reset Trigger in my build. I was extremely surprised how FANTASTIC it came it. I have a very expensive open race gun that the trigger is equal to and was a 1/4 of the cost. If Tony is working on a gun for you, you would be foolish not to spend the extra $75 for this High end match grade trigger job.

  7. This guy sold one before for $1800 two weeks ago.

He used to sell through this other dealer who usually sold them for $1250-$1500, But had one sell for $2050 last month so he is now selling them himself without the dealer. I think the dealer was having so many problems with these not cycling anything that he will not sell them anymore.
