Gedreht 0
For iron sights if I need to raise the point of impact I would lower the front sight and if I need to go right I would move the rear site left. Is that correct? As you can tell my rifle is hitting low and to the left, is this how I need to ajust the sights? Thanks Edited December 10, 2004 by Gedreht
RooK 0
Correct. Rear sights are adjusted in the direction you want POI to move, front sites are the opposite.
KySoldier 2
But you can also move your front sight post side to side, unlike an AR-15.
Gedreht 0
Which is the best to move side to side to front or back sights. In other words which is the easiest? Thanks.
2ND GUNMAN 0
Definitely the rear sight (if yours is adjustable for windage). If you have a stock Saiga sight, the rear sight can't be adjusted for windage, just elevation.
KySoldier 2
Exactly, just get a C-clamp and move the front sight post (assuming you don't have the proper tool). My 308 came already sighted in and the front sight was already adjusted...I just had to take the time and zero my scope.
Gedreht 0
2nd Gunman you are correct. the rear sights don't move <---> just up & down. To move the point of impact <----> do I push on the peg going horizontally through the front sight leaf or the whole sight? It appears to be that way, but hell I don't know, you would've thought that they would had covered it in the manual. I tried to post this earlier, but the site was down. KySoldier 2
Yeah, I saw that the site was down. If you look at either side of teh front sight, there are is a round piece protruding from wither side...you can push on it to move the site post. Edit: Don't put pressure on the post itself, you could bend it. Edited December 11, 2004 by KySoldier
